Cingular Wireless.. I had a 2 year contract that I did not break and finished it off with all payments made and proof. Their service was bad, no signal when I needed but I stayed true to what I signed. I have been getting calls from a credit reporting agency at all times of the day and night claiming that I did not pay my final bill.

I called Cingular and faxed them the proof of my payment wich is on my credit card statement. they claim it was never made and if it was it was applied to someone elses account, if I am telling the truth, because they do not make mistakes like that. They claim to be investigating where my alleged payment went, even though I have proof from my credit card company. They have been rude and not helpfull. This matter has not been resolved either.

Some progress with the Cingular payment scam, After being threatened

After being threatened for what seemed like the 1ooth time by the credit agency First Revenue Ins, on behalf of Cingular, I called Cingular and finally got a rep that has given me some light and has offered a resolution. He researched my faxed statement and this is what he came up with..
The day my contract was up and I cancelled my phone, My number was given to another customer right away. My last payment was made about 20 days later and it went on the the other customers account, not mine. He Gave me credits and wiped out my account. He admitted Cingular was responsible for the payment error. Then he put me on hold and is refunding my last payment to me. He is also filing a complaint on my behalf with the credit agency. I will keep everyone updated as soon as I see this credit on my account..
