I was unpleasantly surpriced to find out that I have a bill for over 1200.00 for the month of May 2006. When contacted, Cingular informed me that this is due to delayed billing that has happened in the system due to network problems which caused me to go over my minutes every month for 3 months.

I told Cingular that this was outrageous for me to go over the minutes, every month I received my bill and paid it. Suddenly 3 months later I get 1200.00 bill for thousands of min. that for some reason did not show up on the corresponding bills.

I told Cingular that as a customer I did not have the choice to upgrade my plan or limit my calls after the first month. I signed the contract that I will be billed for the minutes I used and so fort. When I expressed my angry feelings towards this missleading approach to billing, customer service manager Zilda offered me half off my bill as long as I go for a higher plan. I thought that it was very unfair for me to have sort of insurance plan for Cingular, just in case some of the minutes will show up later and get dumped on my bill.

I paid the bill since I did not want to effect my credit rating, however I thought that it was really missleading and unfair business practice. I also talked to one of the Cingular location managers who wished her name to stay undisclosed who told me that there are lots of customers in Turlock and Modesto, CA area with similar issues. It also happens that my coworker also received 1100.00 bill for the same issue.

I promissed myself that I will do something abour it to prevent this happening to others. I will write to all possible sources and contact who I can. Cingular should pay for their owns mistakes, not try to pass it on the customers.
