Cingular Wireless, which has been purchased by T-Mobile installed a wirless antenna over 1 year ago, and since they have installed the antenna, I have had several problems with leaks in my flat roof. Cingular / T Mobile hired Royal Roofing Company to complete their project, and they did not do a good job in sealing the beams that were installed to up hold their antenna. I contacted TMobile and meet with a rep.and they refused to fix the problem claiming it was caused by not maintaining the roof, which is false.

I feel as a small building owner, that I am being taken advantage of, and Royal Roofing has given me a quote of $35,000 to re-roof the entire roof. After talking to a few of the reps. from both companies, it feels like this has been done in the past and I would like to put a stop to it ASAP.

Thank you for you time.

Go after the roofer

#3Consumer Suggestion

You said that The roofing company Cingular hired did not do a good job sealing the holes. I have 2 suggestions:
1. Go after the roofer. I hope you took pictures.
2. Check your lease with Cingular. It may have some information regarding who is responsible for repairs.

This type of thing happens quite often, as the result of shoddy workmanship. As a building owner you should be entitled to a new roof if you can prove the leaks were caused by the construction (which by the sounds of it, shouldn't be too hard). I'm not a lawyer, but I do know in situations like this you are considered a landlord to them. Look into a cease order, which would stop them from accessing the equipment until the matter is resolved. If you lock them out, and file suit, they'll listen. Good luck.

Cingular bought ATT not T-Mobile

FYI Cingular has not been bought by T Mobile. Cingular bought ATT. You might have better luck speaking to the right company.
