Cingular Wireless Unbelievably bad customer service Internet

The lack of the mailing address requested is a part of the problem. The fact that they do not respond to e-mails is another. The worst is the phone service. I can never get a real live body on the phone.

I had a credit balance. They kept billing me for the credit. I finally got through to them and they were very rude telling me it was my fault that I didn't understand their billing procedures. All I asked for was the word CREDIT to be added to my account.

After getting that straight I get another bill and decide to pay on-line. After trying three times and getting a message from their website that said the payment didn't go through. I paid the usual way and now when I checked my account they show that I paid twice, once on-line and once off line.

I e-mailed them and got a return message that they no longer answer e-mail and gave me a number to call. It's the same number that asks me to punch in so many other numbers and still no be in touch with a real person. Bad.

Thank you, David. The lack of a good mailing address was one of the problems. I had, in the past, used e-mail but the last time I sent them one I got a response back that they would no longer respond to any e-mails. They suggested for me to call. I called and jumped through all the hoops and punched all the numbers only to get only recorded messages. Punching in "0" only brought me a message that said I had made a mistake.

I won't know until I get their next bill if I have a credit balance or not. The last time the bill showed a credit balance but still I was billed for the same amount. When confronted I was treated as if I had done something terribly wrong and was stupid for even contacting them.

I guess I will have to wait until next bill to find out if they think I owe them my credit balance.

Stan: I also had problems with Cingular Wireless customer service. Although my problem did not revolve around my bill, it did pertain to the notices I was receiving online indicating my "next month's" bill was ready for viewing.

I called the Customer Service department three different times and no one was even familiar with the bill notifications that Cingular sents out via email.

In the past, I always contacted Cingular via their email address for customer service. This time, I noticed it was not even shown on their web site.

I also inquired about this to the customer service department. I was told they never had an email address for consumers to use. I indicated they were wrong in that I have copies of previous contacts via this method. In any event, I was very frustrated and searched the web for the Company officers of Cingular. I decided to send the CIO a letter. I did receive a response 1 week after sending my letter directly to their headquarters which is as follows:

Mr. Stanley T. Sigman
Cingular Wireless
Glenridge Highlands Two
5565 Glenridge Connector
Atlanta, GA 30342

I am not sure where the person who contacted me was from, but will say that my letter was received by the office of the President of Cingular and he was calling to address my issues. My issues were resolved and acceptable explanations were given. That is all I was asking. I did let it be known once again how dissatisfied I was with their customer service department. I also asked about their email address for Cingular Customer Service. He acknowledged they did have this available in the past, but that it was removed within the past year due to some technology enhancements that were being done. I responded by stating that if the same level of customer service would continue to be provided, I suggest they redeploy the customer service email since many customers will become outraged with the type of service they are receiving. I did reemphasize the fact that Cingular has many competitors out there...plain and simple.

In any event, try sending a letter to the above. I am confident you will receive the courtesy of a reply from them.

Regards..
