went into circle k store on lunch break from work after midnight on august 4th. lady at register appeared to be high, as she could not hold her eyes open and had slurred speech. after ringing up my items she wasnt able to hand me the receipt and layed it over the register. i did not realize she did not give my debit card back. after a few days i returned to the store and i ask for my card and it was given back. upon returning home i tried to call and reactivate my card. lady from the bank stated my card was used at circle k store 5390 on the 5th of august at 5:20 pm but was declined. when i called the manager she said the lady had been working 7 days a week and was tired not intoxicated. she also said that people leave cards to prepay and the person running the register used it by accident.

I didn't work at that specific store. I worked for Circle K in Florida for almost 7 years in management. Although I'm not trying to defend this company, I do want to let you know that what happened to you, happens all the time. Yes, in Circle K you have to prepay before you can dispense fuel. Some people don't know how much gas their vehicle will take to fill-up and they just leave their credit cards with the cashier to hold. I did the same thing once. I charged one customer's credit card for someone else's gas. After that, well. You just learn to be more careful. Maybe that lady was tired from all the days she's been working and didn't realize she had the wrong credit card.  Trust me, if you worked at a Circle K, you would know that there is no way you can get away with that. There are digital cameras, and those little credit card reports say the time and date the credit card was swiped making it very easy to track. In the 7 years that I worked as a store manager, I never saw anyone even try. But I did get a lot of customers using their friends and family members credit cards illegally.
