Circle K Stores stated philosphy is "Everyone is a theif that has not been caught yet". I know I worked for Circle K for 10 years and heard this repaeated at almost every meeting. They focus more attention on catching supposed theifs than they do in customer service or employee training. Mistakes are theft, errors are theft, computer problems are theft and of course theft is theft. Ever have problems with your credit or debit card while at Circle K, in their eyes because you have problems you are costing them money so -You are a thief. After ten years of working for these people I was accused of theft because I could not on the spot produce receipts for every purchase I had made in the last three days. It didn't matter my bank statement shows the purchases in black and white. Then wanted to deny unemployment benifits for reasons of misconduct? They replaced the computer in my office and in doing so corrupted the files do $6000 worth of recieving were lost and throw the store audit off, they accused me of trying to cover up shortages. While reporting the highest profit in decades, they froze pay through out the company, stopped contributing to retirement and profit sharing, and are now using that savings to purchase every store they can lay their hands on - including all the Exxon-on-the-Runs nationwide. Think about this when you stop at a Circle K Store.
