i purchased a dvd player from circuit city in dec. of 99. i was persuaded to buy the pioneer model by their salesman because of the 50 dollar rebate and the 5 free movies and 11 free blockbuster rentals.2 years later i still have not received my movies or 11 free rentals. i have spent well over 40 hrs of my time talking with circuit city salesman, managers, gms, and corporate people with no satisfaction.

all i want from these people is what i have rightfully coming to me.in the corporate office i have spoke with germain peguise and dianna simmons on 1 occassion with the notion that they would call me back to resolve this problem.

no one will call me back and when i try to go over their heads to talk to their supervisers i am treated very rudely with no satisfaction.i leave messages for these people weekly sometimes daily with no response.1-800-251-2665 germain ext.6846 dianna ext.3094.i am very stressed out over this whole matter and very tired of giving up my time and effort if you could help me with this matter it would be greatly appreciated. thank you mr. john metz

I don't wish to file a rebuttal against this article, however, as one of the employees mentioned, I respectfully request that you remove my personal extension, as well as the extension of my co-worker, from the website. We feel that, while Mr. Metz has the right to post his personal feelings as well as the names of the people he has worked with, posting our contact information only serves to solicit telephone calls to us while we are at work. Unfortunately, since this is a manufacturer-administered rebate, there is no more that I can offer Mr. Metz as an aid in collecting it. In light of that, I don't feel that soliciting phone calls to us personally will assist in resolving this matter. Thank you for your attention. Please do not post this response to the website or release my e-mail address to any parties besides the administrators of this site.

They filed the following to the above Rip-Off Report:

Their email: trashlink@usa.net
Their name: trashlink

Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion

Rebuttal:
I had the same deal the only way you will get your DVD's is to jump through hoops.

I jumped through those hoops for over a year I got my free DVD's in the end only after harrasing the hell out of the company that supplies them.

I never did get the blockbuster coupons did not bother chasing those anyway due to the fact Blockbuster loads late fee's on returns even when returned on time.

Basicaly you will be dam lucky to get your free DVD's the company that supplies them has no intention of giving them to anyone unless that person is obviously never going away.

They actualy kept stating to me they have no record of me mailing it in after I mailed it twice thankfuly I had photo copied in detail all the paper work, I think they realy on two things one you mailed your only evidence all ready and two giving up.

Finaly I stated to them on the third time I suggest you find my order and process it, I work for the District Attorney's office and I think there is a little bit more going on here than meets the eye I bet if I was to look into this there are other people having problems.... My package arrived about 7 days later.
