I am furious!

I purchased a SEAL PCI sound card from Best Buy last Saturday afternoon and spend the rest of the day and all of the next trying to get it to work in my computer. I finally gave up and borrowed a friend's SoundBlaster card (which insatlled and worked immediately) so I could get my homework done. I was not happy!

To make matters worse, I tried to take the card back to Circuit City (all original packaging, bubble wrap, manual, CD, everything) and the lady behind the counter pulled another new SEAL sound card box out and showed me that the one in that box was completely different than mine and said she couldn't return it! What the #$%@#$?

I have no idea who did what, but the bottom-line is that I'm out $60.00 and I can't do a dang thing about it. I just tore up my Circuit City card and will never buy another item at their store! This is ridiculus!

You bought from Best Buy and tried to return to Circuit City?

I'm really hoping that this was just a typo on your part and you seriously were not trying to return an item purchased at one store to a different store.

As for Circuit City not accepting this item back due to it not being the correct product, My suggestion would be to contact the Circuit City Customer Care phone number, which is found on thier website. Explain the situation to a representative there, and they MAY be able to assist you.

However, I do hope that you understand that they are protecting themselves against fraud. They do not know if you have the correct item at home and are trying to return another item that you don't like.

At this point, it's really on you to prove that this was the card from the box. Try contacting the Manufacturer, see if there have been other consumers that this has happened to.
How different was your item from the one the salaes rep showed you?
