ON 4/28/2005 I RESPONDED TO A PROMOTIONAL AD OF "NO INTEREST NO PAYMENT FOR 24 MONTHS ON PURCHASES OF TVS AND APPLIANCES OF $499.00 AND UP IF PAID BY 4/28/2007 IN MY CASE WITH A PURCHASE OF FLAT SCREEN TV FOR $3,083.82.

A VOLUNTARY MONTHLY PAYMENT OF $125.00 WERE MADE BUT LATER DISCOVERED THAT ONLY A PORTION OF MY PAYMENT WAS APPLIED TO PRINCIPAL AND A PORTION TO INTEREST.

I WAS INDUCED TO SIGN AN APPLICATION FOR CREDIT WHICH I LATER DISCOVERED TO BE A VISA CARD APPLICATION WITH INTEREST OF 24.75% P.A.

A COMPLAINT LETTER WAS SENT ON 2/16/2007 BUT NO REPLY OR ACTION WAS MADE, THE ACCOUNT IS ABOUT TO BE FULLY PAID.

I BELIEVED I WAS FRAUDAULENTLY DECEIVED BY THE PROMOTIONAL AD.

What does it say on the receipt from when you bought it?

Circuit City does the financing through their credit card (which I believe they no longer own). You sign up for the card, and they charge outrageous interest if you don't pay.

When you buy something that has financing, the receipt will usually say somethign to the effect of "Item X has qualified for special financing," or something to that effect (haven't financed anything through them recently). It should also show that on your credit card bill...the financing terms for the item.

Did you miss any payments? Their language states that if you miss a payment, they can charge interest back to the original date of purchase.

I wonder how it happened that you did not realize this mistake for over a year and a half.
