HADE BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER, BUT WAS NOT WORKING RIGHT. CALL HP THAY SAID JUST HAVE TO ADJUST THE MEMORY IN THE BIOS. THEY WOULD NOT LET ME. THEY AID RETURN TO THE STORE IT IS A DEFECT.

I THEN WENT TO THE STORE. THAY GAVE ME ANOTHER ONE. TRIED IT IN THE STORE SAME THING; TRIED 3 MORE SAME THING. HADE A MANAGER SHAWN DEWIE COME OVER HE THEN PROCEEDED TO YELL AT ME FOR MAKING THEM OPEN MORE COMPUTERS AND THEN SAID WELL I WILL NOT REFUND YOU. I WILL NOT GIVE YOU A DISCOUNT ON IT AND WE CAN'T FIX IT. IT IS NOT A PROBLEM.

I THEN POINTED OUT ON THEIR TAG AND ON THE BOX WHERE IT SAYS IT CAN DO WHAT IT CAN'T, HE THEN CALLED HP AND THEY SAID SEND US THE COMPUTER, WE WILL FIX IT. THE MANAGER SAID I WILL HAVE THE CUSTOMER DO THAT. THEY SAID NOT YOU THE MANAGER HAVE TO CAUSE IT IS A DEFECT ON MORE THEN ONE PRODUCT IN YOUR STORE AND WE WANT THEM ALL BACK TO FIX.

HE THEN SAID I WILL HAVE TO DISPUTE THIS WITH HP SO COME BACK IN 1 HOUR. SO MY DAD AND I LEFT, CAME BACK AND AS WE'RE WALKING IN THE MANAGER GOES AND HIDES IN THE BACK WHICH WE SAY SO WE WENT AND ASKED FOR HIM. THEY SAID HE LEFT 1 HOUR AGO AND WE TOLD THEM WHAT IS GOING ON AND THEY SAID I WILL GO BACK AND GET HIM AND JUST TELL HIM A NEW CUSTOMER HAS A QUESTION WHICH THEN HE CAME OUT.

WHEN HE SAY IT WAS US HE GOT REAL MAD AND SAID GET OUT. TAKE YOUR COMPUTER. I SAID I WANT A REFUND. IT IS DEFECTIVE. HE SAID TOO BAD. MAYBE THEY WILL DO IT AT CUSTOMER SERVICE I WILL NOT. AND SEVERAL TIMES WE COULD HEAR HIM SAY BAD THING ABOUT US BEHIND OUR BACK AND UNDER HIS BREATH LIKE STUPID FU**ING CHEEZHEADS. IT WAS QUITE BUT I WAS CLOSE ENOUGH WHERE I COULD JUST HEAR HIM.

THERE IS MORE BUT I JUST CAN'T REMEMBER IT ALL AND AM SO FED UP. I HOPE HE GETS FIRED. I HAVE CALLED THE CORPORATE STORE AND REPORTED THIS AND THEY SAY WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING. CALL THE STORE AND SPEAK WITH THEM. IT IS UP TO THEM ON A DISPUTE I DID THAT AND THEY DO NOT CARE. OTHER PEOPLE WHO HANDLED THIS IN THE STORE WHERE CHIRS A COMPUTER TECH THE STORES HP REP AND ANOTHER MANAGER NAMED NICK. THANK YOU AND I WILL NEVER SHOP AT CIRCUITCITY AGAIN. SORRY IF I MISPELT.

Sadly I guess its my turn to be an a*s. Go back to the store and re-read the tag. All of the tags say "Up to 128 megs or graphic RAM" they dont say that is an exact amount. Plus its better to have less shared graphics memory. Windows XP dosent need that much graphics memory to run and its better to have it to use with actualy programs. If you planned on running a game using shared you in for a bad experience. Seriously what is your complaint?! We sold you a computer that runs faster then it would with more shared video memory? GASP!

Heh, I've had this issue before. Lets say a computer has 512megs of RAM. Unless that computer has a graphics card a certain amount of that RAM needs to be used to do the graphic work. HP was probably telling you to change the graphics apiture in the BIOS. Like the guy before me said short of getting more RAM or a graphics card you arent going to fix the shared memory "problem".

And it isnt false advertising. If a computer states that it has 512megs of RAM then it has 512megs of RAM in it. And where is there fraud? Do you people just list as many horrible things in the tittles as possible. "Circuit City raped my dieing dog in front of my mentally disadvantaged 5 year old while singing Britney Spears songs out of key and fired shots at firemen as they tried to save a family of minorities from a burning building. RIP OFF!!11"

Please people...

*heh, I wonder if this will be posted* =D

well, the funny thing is i know the manager that you are talking about in your report here and i know that he IS not rude to a customer like that...

I think your problem lies in the video memory, the video memory is shared with the regular computer memory, and there is not a way to change this unless you get a new graphics card... yes you did get the full amount of memory though

I'm gonna give you the benifit of the doubt and assume you dont speak English. What is the problem, the RAM didnt work? Maybe you just misunderstood. I cant think of a model issue that would involve having to change something in the BIOS. What HP was it, maybe I can help you fix the problem.
