Hello.  Tough lessoned learned when dealing with Citibank credit cards.  After closing my premier pass card in 2008, the Thankyou Network continued to report I had 166,007 points available for use.  Unfortunately, in the complete confusion of the paragraphs of information in terms and conditions 6 years ago, I was unaware ALL points are forfeited, with no warning or notification, after an account is closed.  There is tons of information about expiration of points and different dates, but lost in all that microscopic fine print they call the terms, you lose everything after 30 days.

It doesn't matter what the Thankyou Network account says.  It doesn't matter if you speak to a senior account representative.  It doesn't matter how much you have lost, if your dying, if you beg, if you offer to reopen your account.  Even if the Thankyou Network still has record of your points, citibank will never give them back.

I have learned a hard lession.  The credit card companies will do nothing for customer satisfaction.  We are cattle and they do not care what happens to us.  I have lost the ability to take a vacation or even simply pay down some of my tens of thousands in student debt.

I do not recommend ANY citibank credit cards.  Warning.  To support all of the individuals who have been hurt, abused, or feel stolen from by citibank.  Chose any other credit card company.  It is my only way to impact Citibank, and show how one voice can hurt them as well.
