September 2008 Approved for a CitiMortgage loan. Payments $2031.62, @ 7.375%    due 10/1/08, and the first of every month.

May, 2009 Tax bills reduced Makes payments drop to $1989.01. Payment made .

6/9/09 Payment made $1989.01

7/7/09 - Payment made $1989.01

7/22/09 - Having been laid off, and receiving Unemployment assistance, I called CitiMortgage to inquire about reducing my interest rate, or Refinancing, to reduce the payments.  I was told about entering their Hardship Program and to call 1-866-6001 or 866-713-4784.  I was told to go online to their website, and complete and submit the Homeowners Assistance tab.   I did as I was told.

7/27/09 I was mailed and received a confirmation letter that someone would review my documents and call me.

7/31/09 I received a call from John (ID#JC12980, from Ft.Mill, South Carolina code: HAT).  He said they have received everything and I was approved.  I qualified for a 3.63% Interest rate for 5 years, then up 1% each following year for 5 years).  My payments could be $1477.58, and the first one would be due before Sept. 30th.   He also instructed me to NOT make payments online, but to Call 1-800-283-7918, and make the payments over the phone, so they get logged in as Additional Funds Received instead of as a payment. I would be receiving a packet in the mail with all the required paperwork for me to approve and sign.

8/20.  I have not received the paperwork. I received an E-mail from Citibank (RE: Confidential Message for Michael Mandy #8174) informing me that I was delinquent with my payment.  I replied, stating the details of my conversation with John on 7/31, and my payment of $1477.58 was to be paid prior to Sept.30th.

8/25/09 spoke on the phone to CitiMortgage. I was told not to worry - everything was OK and the paperwork should arrive within 2 weeks.

9/4/09 I called CitiMortgage at 1-800-283-7918 made a payment of   $ 1,477.50 well before the due date of 9/30

9/16/09  - Packet of Paperwork arrived . Completed and mailed the next day.

9/30/09 I called CitiMortgage spoke to Rosemary to confirm recipt of everything.  She stated they were missing 2008 W-2 forms.   I mailed them AND Faxed them to 866-989-2088 AND 866-989-1356.

10/6/09 -  I called CitiMortgage at 1-800-283-7918 made my 2nd  payment of   $ 1,477.50 well before the due date of 10/30

11/6/09 I called CitiMortgage at 1-800-283-7918 made a 3rd payment of   $ 1,477.50 well before the due date of 11/30

11/20/09 received Declination notice.  I called 866-713-4784. Spoke to Lawrence. He stated that I was declined due to my Unemployment Assistance payments were expiring in December.  Also, our Debt ratio was too high.  I informed him that my wife was now working, and she was now making approximately $2000 a month.  He then reconfigured my Modification loan, and told me that now we do qualify for the 3.63% interest rate, but my payments would be $1267.59. The first payment would be due before 12/30/09, and new paperwork would be arriving in the mail.

(the household is making more money, so we qualify for lower payments ?)

12/4/09 I called CitiMortgage at 1-800-283-7918 made a payment of   $ 1,267.59 well before the due date of 12/30.

12/7/09 I received a Delinquent Notice for non-payment from CitiMortgage. I called 1-800-723-7906 spoke to Michael (#1502).   He said that the Additional Funds Received department does not forward payment information to the Payments department.  So the Payments department does not know that I have been making payments since September. He said that their system has not been updated to do this. But not to worry everything is okay.

1/8/10 I called CitiMortgage at 1-800-283-7918 made a 2nd payment of   $ 1,267.59 well before the due date of 1/30.

1/13/10 I received a 2nd Delinquent Notice. I called 1-800-723-7906. Spoke to Randy in Collections . Again, not to worry everything is Okay.

1/15/10 Modification Approval letter arrives with a new batch of paperwork to get notarized and signed.  It says:   If you have any questions, call Shenarean Roy @ 1-866-713-4784, ex.25803.  But this batch of paperwork says my interest rate is going to be 7.375%, and my payments will be $2,093.06 !  It also specifies that my payment will be due on 4/1/10.

I called Shenarean Roy @ 1-866-713-4784, ex.25803. Left voicemail.

1/20 - I called Shenarean Roy @ 1-866-713-4784, ex.25803. Left voicemail.

1/25 - I called Shenarean Roy @ 1-866-713-4784, ex.25803. Left voicemail.

2/2 - I called Shenarean Roy @ 1-866-713-4784, ex.25803. Left voicemail.

So I call CitiMortgage @ 1-800-283-7918 spoke to Julie Whiting. She told me her direct number is @ 1-636-261-6033, ex 26033.  She said she is now handling my account, and everything is Okay. But now I dont qualify for the lower payments anymore, due to my wifes increased income, so they are putting it back to 7.375%, BUT  my payments will be $2,093.06 and my payment will be due on 4/1/10. But it Said Current Loan Principal Balance: $237,732.96. Total Payment: $1989.01.   NEW:  Principal Balance: $247,965.54. Total Payment: $2093.06 !

She told me to fill out the paperwork and fax it to them.  I asked why the increase?  She said that it is putting back the money that I didnt pay them since I was on the Modification.

2/5/10  - I faxed the paperwork to 866-938-9970.  I mailed it to them on 2/8/10.

3/11/10  - I received an E-mail to call CitiMortgage @ 866-749-0150.

3/12/10 I called CitiMortgage spoke to  Andre.  He confirmed that Citimortgage is showing all my payments, and has received and approved my paperwork.  He told me he would send the Collections department a Memo stating that I fully intend to make a payment of $2093.06 before April 1st, 2010.  Not to worry Everything is Okay.

3/15/10 received a Default Notice in the Mail.
