I hade been using my debit card with no problems and paid bills online. I noticed an electronic debit I made (confirmation email sent) was going to hit my Citibank account instead of the intended Charter One Bank. My goof, clicked on the wrong bank to debit from, no big deal so I deposited the funds to cover the additional debt in the ATM.

The account was about 5 months old, never overdrawn or a returned item. They held the ATM deposit, paid the debit and then charged me for a ton overdraft fees for previous pre authorized debits. What a mess, I went to the bank and they told me sorry charlie your account is less than 6 months old so a hold was placed on the ATM deposit. I told them the deposit was my Geico paycheck the same type of check they cashed on the spot a week prior.

The customer service manager said the $180 overdraft fees were not reversable. The account even with the held deposit was never in the negative. I was shocked at the way this bank does business! They are BAD NEWS!!
