CitiBank Suddenly I cannot do internet banking without a newly invented PIN to be mailed later San Antonio Texas
I tried to do banking on line, as I dod hundreds of times before today. All of a sudden, when trying to log on to my CITIBANK account on line the user name and password for my bank account was not good enough anymore and a PIN had to be entered , as well as the bank card number??!!.
I scrambled to get at the card but realized I did not have a PIN.
No need for a PIN - I do not use the ATM.
I go to my branch(when I am home - I am not there, obviously now)
So, I could not get at my account, do the money transfers needed, set up payments, etc..Major headaches, to spaek nothing of being blocked from my own money!
Now, after calling , India wil MAIL me a PIN.
It means a week at least until I can work with on my account!!
The guys and gals at 1 800 374 9700 IN INDIA ( this is where CITI has "customer service" were laughing at me.You must have typed a number wrong or mispelled the "security question" they said!! So we are keeping you away from your money for your own protection, for a while, say for at least a week .
No warning , no automatic sending of a PIN by mail before implementing such new "security" features, no nothin'.
Just fraudulent banking practices, that is all.
Beware CITIBANK , tactics like thes show they might not be solvent!

If you would learn to spell and use proper English then your complaints might be recieved more seriously. I would be ashamed to submit a complaint such as yours. This is not a rip off. If you do not like the way they do business, there are plenty of other options, though frankly, I doubt you will be satisfied with any of them. Get a life.
