 I was a Citi Mortgage customer for 7 years. I had NEVER been late with my mortgage EVER. I went through a divorce at the beginning of 2010. I was court ordered to continue to pay the house payment until our divorce was final or the house was sold. I had to change the account in which the payment was pulled from. The reason? It was a joint account with my ex wifes name on it. By LAW you cannot close a joint account till the divorce is final. I called Citi Mortgage and gave them the NEW account info and went on my way.  CitiMortgage then failed to pull mortgage from proper account. It was my OWN bank who discovered their mistake and called me immediately. I then called Citi and corrected the error even paying mortgage
over the phone. That was November 2010. CitiMortgage then turned around in Dec 2010 and made the EXACT same mistake!!! I called again and discussed with them about their error. Citi then tried to tell me I could NOT change the account because my Ex wifes name was on mortgage. I respectfully explained the situation and that I was merely changing the account info and NOT trying to take her name off anything. Anyone with a brain could figure this out.
CitiMortgage could NOT! From Jan 2011 to Aug 2011 I had to manually pay the payment online to ensure it was done correctly and was never late again. I have the credit report to prove I was not late before OR AFTER their complete
incompetence. CitiMortgage then reported me to the credit bureaus and told me they would remove the FALSE information. They drug it out till August till I was no longer a customer after paying the balance off. Now not being a customer
they could care less about the report they FALSELY reported!! I am willing to provide proof of payment history! CUSTOMERS BEWARE
