Citimortgage terrible customer service, inaccurate account keeping and credit reporting ripoff Saint Louis Missouri
Our, unfortunate Citimortgage dealings, span over 2 and a half years. We were unaware of 2 30 day late payment son our credit report for 2003. It was brought to our attention in February of 2004, when a new mortgage company pulled our report, and turned us down because of this information.
When my husband first called them and asked them to remove the inaccurate information, we were refused, even though they stated there were no late payments in our history. When we contacted them again, they agreed to have the information removed.
In March of 2004, we applied for a new mortgage again, only to find out the information had not been removed. We called Citimortgage and asked them to remove them, they did, and sent us a letter confirming the fact.
When our credit was pulled again, by our potential new mortgage lender, we found there were 2 more late payments added to our credit report. I called Citimortgage and asked to speak to a supervisor. The gentleman I spoke with had an Indian accent, and apart from not understanding what I was saying (he kept repeating the same sentence over and over), refused to put me through.
When I called back again, I did speak with a supervisor, and she informed me that the new inaccurate information was not their fault, and would not be removed.
I have spoken with several customer service people over the past few days and have been:- talked down to, hung up on, and basically denied any request.
It has now come to our attention that we are now, not only, being denied a new mortgage from anybody, but we are also being penalised for having to many companies enquire about our credit.
This is all because of Citimortgage and their incredible knack of not being able to handle customers, handle accounts, or handle resolutions.

Once again tried to call Citimortgage, and was refused information This number is different from the 800 one, so maybe it will help some of you. the number is 1 636 261 2484 . The supervisor that I was passed to was Charlene Jackson. She still insisted that I was on the account, but some of you may have better luck.

I tried to call them yesterday, and I was hung up on....again. So, today I logged on to the 20/20 website (current affairs), and filed a request for them to investigate Citimortgage, for the show 'Prime Tine Live'. I am sure, if enough of us, send our stories to them, via email or however you choose, they should be able to bring this to everyones' attention. I have already emailed Citimortgage, that because of their terrible customer service, account keeping etc, I have reported them to the BBB (if you look on their website the BBB has over 439 complaints for the past 36 months). I have also given them a timeline, and if it is not met, I will be seeking legal council. According to my calendar, their time is up next Friday , funnily enough, it is Friday the 13th!!...Let's hope it's plenty of bad luck for them. But please, if any of you are reading this, call, or email the program I have listed. I am hoping that if they hear it enough times, we can do something to bring this company to it's knees!
