This is about Citizens complaint case #839808 as Citizens Banks has assigned a number.

Citizens Bank engages in contractual entrapment by the inclusion of option boxes by default, automatically checked in the affirmative on your behalf for the purpose of and in my opinion, to nickel and dime consumers for profit.

I state these reasons for the following examples given:

If this is an option, as stated by Citizens Bank to give you money on an overdrawn account, then charge excessive fees for this privilege, it is the right of the individual to decide, not Citizens Bank.

Also, to assume by default this option in the affirmative for consumers is misleading, fraudulent and I believe unfair and deceptive business practices.

No explanation to this box verbally was given and no space provides the consumer to confirm that this was read, typical of most long contractual agreements.

Banks are to be generally understood to be a trusted source and yet Citizens Bank operates under the guise of this trust to profit by nickel and diming the consumer.

After numerous letters to Attorney General and Customer Assistance Group this bank has refunded 2/3 of the unnecessary bank charges it is my belief that the full balance should be removed and this practice should cease immediately.

I will accept no other offer.

What ever did happen to "The Peoples Bank"?
