Citizens broadband Claims its always On Always Reliable.
Thats an outright Lie! Every time it rains the internet goes out. Their internet service is not reliable at all. Nor worth the money paid for it.. It is way Over Priced!
You pay 35.00 Dollars per month for a slow low end broadband service of only 512k download and get only 512K upload.
Other Internet providers charge about the same amount per month and you get at least 3 MB download and 768K up load. Which beats what citizens has to offer.
Their price plan for even 1.5 MB down is $70.00 dollars a month!! !!
Plain and simple. And Most of the time you arent getting the amount of internet you are paying for with citizens. If you do a speed test a lot of the time usually during bad weather you only get about Half the speed you are paying for. Many times I have gone to (((link redacted))) only to find that I am getting 200K download and 150K Upload. Unfortunately Due to my location I can not get DSL or Cable. So people who live out in the rural area of Scottsburg and or Austin get to be screwd over by citizens broadband service into paying for a crappy internet service.
It constantly goes out. Sometimes I cant even get Online! Yet they Claim Its Reliable.
Its Un Reliable is what it is.

Citizens came out on November 8, 2010 to replace some Old Equipment. They replaced it. Now there is a new antenna on the house. its been a little slow lately. tonight it has been Very Slow. So I went to www.speakeasy.net/speedtest
and this was my result!
It would be so nice if Citizens communications was a bit more reliable than this!

Download Speed: 78 kbps (9.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 148 kbps (18.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

Well guess what! It's not working right again. yeah, I did a speed test because it's slow again.
here is the result

Download Speed: 135 kbps (16.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 160 kbps (20 KB/sec transfer rate)

I should not have to call tech support every time this happens.
Remember I'm paying for 512K down and 512K up.... am I getting what I pay for? do the math!
Yet they claim reliable. Dosen't look reliable to me.

Guess what, Good Ole citizens, Unreliable again! Im paying for 512K and getting 100K down thats .10 mpbs when I should be getting 0.51 Mbps both Down and Up.
my UP speed is .10 mbps thats 100K.
RIP OFF!!!!! yet Im being charged for 512K
They Claim Reliable on their site. This usually happens at least once a week.

I have called many times only to receive unsatisfactory service.
I would not recommend citizens to anyone!
