This bank withdrew $100 from my account and has no idea where it went. I opened 2 accounts online in mid-July. A premier checking first; where I electronically transferred $3000 from Bank of America to fund the new account. The second is a savings account that was opened shortly after. While opening I had to choose an account to fund the new account. I chose to use my CTB Premier Checking account where I requested that $100 be transferred to the savings account. I received an email telling me that a small amount under $1 would be debited from checking account and I would need to validate the amount via that email to have the account opened. I followed these instructions and that part was successful. This week I logged into my online account and noticed that $99.59 had been debited from my account with no details. I also noticed that my new savings account was not showing. I called the bank; spoke to Mary Archer and we had a conversation that made absolutely no since. I explained provided the application ID for that account, My social security number, DOB and address only to be told she can't find the new account nor the $99.59. My next question is so where did my $99.59 go that was supposed to fund the account? Mary: Give me your account number again? I do. Only to have her tell me yet again she can only see 1 account. After feeling like I had been on a hamster wheel for the last 40 mins I told Mary that this was ridiculous and I should close my account. Mary say " I wouldn't go that far because she'd opened plenty of accounts and had a great response. "Really Mary? So my account is the only account that your bank has issues with? Check CTB Bank Reviews they say something very different. I asked Mary to do 3 things: 1. Find my money 2. Locate my savings account 3. Tell me how to electronically transfer the majority of my money back to Bank of America. Mary agreed to call me back that day which she did. She called me back and said "In order to close your account you have to come into a branch." What? That wasn't one of my 3 questions! I am LIVID...I didn't ask to call me back with that information. I already knew that! I planned on transferring $2999.99 from my account so I would not have to drive all the way from Duluth, GA to Panola Rd in Lithonia. She then stated she would call me back by the end of the day with the information that I initially requested. That deadline has come and gone; I am extremely frustrated. So I called this morning spoke to another rep filled her in on the situation and was told the notes from yesterday were in the system and they were waiting for Operations Mgmt to respond. So, I explain to her that it's imperative that I know where the $100 went that they debited from my account and Why they had no record of my savings account. I also needed to know how to transfer my $2899.99 electronically from their bank to Bank of America ASAP. I was told that customer service does not handle that. That is a request that must be handled by Operation Mgmt.?!?!? What? I've never heard of anything so ridiculous! I've been banking with BofA for several years and if I call their 1-800 number the reps can most definitely explain to me HOW to transfer money from 1 bank to another. These people are incompetent idiots and at this point I consider the misplacement of my $100 THEFT! First find my $100, then tell me how to transfer my money as far away from this "bank" as soon as possible! By the way, Thank you Linda Moore (Manager) for refusing to take my call and not helping me AT ALL this morning.
