These two husband and wife work in tandem.
The wife runs the accounting and office, while the husband works the showroom against his own sales staff. Be careful for his overcharging by as much as 3-times!
Has main installer bring his family from (illegally) from Mexico to install for City carpets. Hossein Bakhtiari pays for there trip to get to San Rafael only to take advantage of them after a while by cutting there pay no benefits what-so-ever. He then charges clients Union Labor installation prices.
Save your money and frustration and try another more honest outfit!

My husband and I are the owners of City Carpets, we are Hossein and Leigh Bakhtiari. We believe that this report filed by "Sandra & Mark" is fraudulent, and that it was posted in an attempt to hurt us personally by a former acquaintance who is currently serving time in prison for fraud and various other activities. Although we are reluctant to dignify the charges in this statement, especially as the acquaintance's name prints up on this report and is not Sandra or Mark, we feel compelled to respond since it has been brought to our attention by our customers who we care for very much.
First, we do not overcharge for our services, we offer the best quality products installed by professionals and we are a licensed and bonded firm. We pay our employees an excellent salary, with benefits and insurance while following the law to a "t".
Second, all of our employees - including our carpet installers are U.S. citizens, as are we.
Finally, we have an excellent reputation in our community, and can provide many references in support of the fine quality of our goods and services. City Carpets has been a member of the Better Business Bureau since 1996, has consistently placed on their Honor Roll, and has been voted "Best of Marin" by readers of The Pacific Sun for several years.
I kindly request that if this report cannot be substantiated, that it be removed immediately.
