Just curious why state of Texas is not sending out mail to all vehicle owners every year to remind them to go for vehicle inspection. I believe other states do send such reminders. They do sent out mai for the license plate sticker.
If State of Texas starts sending out such notification then it will help many citizen to get reminder and have their vehicle inspected.

Also it is sad that sicker design is such that the driver of the vehicle cannot see the expiration date on this sticker while driving the vehicle. At least they need to change the design of the sticker so that people can see the expiration date.

I have seen City of Coppell Police waiting on road for "something" or to catch crime of some "specific" kind.

If your State Vehicle Inspection sticker is expired for less then two months then they will NOT give you the warning. Like other cities Coppell do not charge any fine if vehicle inspection sticker is expired less than two months. But I'm sure they will start keeping a watch on the vehicle.

Once the expiration date on the sticker is more than two months, he will sure stop you and give you ticket that costs about $200.00.

There is number of robberies going on in city of Coppell and in Irving. Also there is a recent murder happened in the city. Not sure why police is NOT focusing on criminals but rather keep a watch on expensive vehicles that has an expiration sticker on it. I'm pretty sure those expensive vehicle should pass the inspection in flying color. BTW more than 80% vehicle in cith of Coppell are expensive.

Police specifically comes and wait outside the neighborhood between 7:00 AM till 11:30 AM. Not sure why police thinks that they will find criminals or the murderers early in the morning around my neighborhood? They specifially park in the neighborhood such that they can easily watch vehicle that pass by. None of the vehicle can go beyod 25 MPH.

I have passed by the police vehicle more than five times in one month with the expired sticker. He stopped me only after my sticker became two months old.

It could be just me and other people I talked to but experience is NOT positive.

I have seen many people driving around with expiration sticker is other cities. May be police in those other cities might have better and important jobs to look for real criminals and to make the DFW area safe.

I'm sure Coppell Police must be doing important job to save the environment and I'm sure they forget to look at the vehicles which has expird stickers for less than two months.

Pennsylvania does not send a notice out. I lived in Oklahoma for 28 years and I don't remember getting one from them either.

Why would you want your tax dollars spent on such a silly thing because you cannot remember to check you expiration on the sticker. There is a period of time that most states will let it slide when the sticker expires knowing that most people forget but, two months is a bit long.

Apparently nothing important ever happens in your life.

Your inspection is YOUR responsibility -
All Vehicle registrations go through the Tax Office of every County - they collect the monies
Grow up - Yes Coppell is a smaller community in Dallas County and they do have speed traps yet that does not make a lick of difference if you cannot keep your vehicle current
