In March 1, 2006 (Cit #484797401) I was ticketed, unbeknown to me, while in Koreatown district of the City of Los Angeles. When I found out, it ws $157.00. I found out the DMV had a hold on my registration renewal when I tried to renew the registration. I was never notified by Los Angelees Parkling Violation of this ticket.

Moreover, the ticket which alleged that the car was parked in zone is incorrect. I was in lane three (in three lane Blvd., which has a rezone zone area) trying to move into lane two, I was stucked in lane two due to back to back traffick in lane two, an DOT office came and motion to me that I cannot be there because it was red zone, told him trying to get into lane two, ands that was that. DOT officer left the scene, did not issue tiecket then, nor was I ever notified of the citation.

Later when I found out about this ridiculus citation, wrote to the City for a review. Was told that City can not review because I did not contest within the stautury time period. Wrote several times that I could not request review within two weeks or so because I was never njotified of the citation and did not know of the existence of the citation, thus, could not have contested within time limit udner the statute, the City kept repeating about the statue for consting the ticket and they are not going to revewi the citation.

I felt like robbed in the highway by some robbers. RFeported to DMV of deliqient parking citation without notifying me of the citation, then when I tried to contest the ticket, giving this run around that statute time limit to contest parkling ticket has expired. If this is not highwayt robery then what is it??? Robbed by City of Los Angeles, and need some recourse for justice...

You're not alone

Roberto, you're not alone.

Yes, you have been robbed by the corrupt City of Los Angeles and its corrupt Parking Violations Bureau...to say nothing of being robbed of your rights, due process, etc. Welcome to the "Victims Club" comprised of the thousands or tens of thousands of people who have suffered identical or similar injustices. You can read the many, many ripoff reports that have been filed over the past five years about the City of Los Angeles and its crooked operation to extort money from vehicle owners over non-existent parking violations. Despite the fact that you have a relatively new Mayor, I see that it's still business as usual there.

I guess until there is an organized effort, a massive uprising, by people who have been screwed in like manner over the city's fraudulent parking violation racket, nothing will change. My condolences.
