Complaint Review: City of Milw2aukee Water Works

I am a disabled senior living on a pension.   The City of Milwaukee Water Works has billed me nearly $600. for 205 cubic feet of water which I did not use.   They allege that the water meter was working appropriately and I disagree.   I had someone inspect my property and NO leaks were found.   I agreed to have the city inspector come to my home and he found NO leaks.   I was told that the city is not responsible for investigating or explaining any errors.   Something happened to cause this error.   Either the meter malfunctioned,   or there was a problem with the radio waves when reading the meter,   or it is with their computer system.   What happened is the $64,000. question.   So far they have been unable or unwilling to police themselves,  and have been unwilling to work with me to find a solution.   All they want is to set up a payment plan.   To date I have been unable to find someone to help me.   If this is not resolved soon the fee plus interest will automatically be added to my property tax bill.   This unresolved situation is becoming depressing and is beginning to affect my health.
