Complaint Review: City Of Olathe Kansas

The City of Olathe, Kansas has promised repeatedly(over four years that we have lived in this area) to put in a sidewalk for junior high and high school students to walk or bike to school. But every year they have a new excuse for not providing these walks. The schools will not bus ( we live 2.1 miles from school and you have to live 2.5 miles for a free bus).

They DO NOT MIND however,taxing us a really sizeable amount yearly for maintenance of county, city and school facilities.

Further the City of Olathe, Kansas makes us homeowners responsible for the shared area outside our fenceline, a hill which slopes to the road ( a shared thru way which we cannot do anything with but mow for them every Spring and Summer). If ignored they fine us.

If this is not a rip-off I don't know what a ripoff is!
