I was told to relocate from NJ for this once in a lifetime opportunity and it turned out to be nothing. I was told there was a base salary and there wasn't. ever. I watched many college graduates as well as full grown adults fall into this trap. dont let it happen to you. i hope ck and associates goes bankrupt. all i heard was how much money i was going to make and how much the president made and then i saw that she barely made thirty thousand a year. she lived in crap hole apartment in a crap apartment complex. the whole thing is a huge lie to sucker people into working hard for them until they cant support themselves anymore.

William, you may remember me, Scott, well I am very pleased to see that this information has found its way to the web. CK and associates is indeed a scam. I worked there for 6 weeks and lost much more money than I made in gas alone, not to mention time.

For people who are thinking about the opportunity that CK presents to you, forget about it, it's not worth it. Keith's solution for lost money was, "get a credit card and use that for money because this will pay off in time". That time never comes.

CK & Associates - USE YOUR TIME TO FIND A REAL JOB

Monster had many positions posted on their site for CK & Associates. I forwarded my resume and a couple days later received an email inviting me to interview.

After looking on their website, I was hard pressed to find any specific information on the advertised position or any position for that matter. The Website is very general and consists of just a few pages. I was not impressed so I never responded to their invitation.

Needless to say, I received a phone call from the 'Human Resources/Secretary' inquiring on a time for me to come in and interview to see if "I'd be a good match". HELLO!
NEWS FLASH! How many companies would call a person, who didn't respond to their first invite, back in to interview? A desperate one!

For curiousity sake, I went in and was interviewed by the Shana Anolik that is mentioned in another complaint. Only this time, she is the president for CK & Associates and not SMA!There was alot of 'executive jargon'(BS basically)about nothing specific, just like the Website. I walked out with about as much information as I walked in with. It was very much like an "it's not Amway, Amway presentation"..a smokescreen approach.

Thanks so much to the others who have confirmed for me that this company is purposely unclear on what they do! I could have wasted my valuable time with their "second interview" which was to consist of me following a Rep "out on the field" with a notebook for what was stated as being "possibly the whole day"! Unless they are going to pay you for this, do not waste your time!!

HOW RIDICULOUS IS IT TO ASK SOMEONE TO COME IN ON THEIR FREE TIME TO NOTATE THE DETAILS OF A JOB???PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU GO TO ANY INTERVIEWS THAT DO NOT CLEARLY SPECIFY EACH INDIVIDUAL POSITION AND THE JOB DUTIES! THERE ARE REAL JOBS OUT THERE! MOVE ON DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! GOOD LUCK

CK & Associates is Not Alone!

I just wanted to let everyoneknow that CK & Associates shares an office with another predatory "company", S.M.A. International. I, like so many others, responded to the ad on Monster.com to apply at CK & Associates. When I arrived, I was interviewed by someone named Shana M. Anolik who's business card said she was president of S.M.A International. I was confused and fell for her answer on how they "just share this office." I want to thank the people who took the time to post their experiences with this scam because it saved me a lot of time, trouble, and heartache by refusing their offer for "employment".

YES - IT'S A RIPOFF

YES - CK AND ASSOCIATES is a complete and utter scam. i never saw anyone make it passed leadership and for all the talking they do. there is nothing to show for it. i was in contact with two so called "presidents" of this type of company who are both contracted by the parent company - CYDCOR - and for all the dreams and money they said they made they lived lower than i did. i saw both of their apartments and neither one was even halfway furnished like it should have been. one had torn couches and dirt on the floors while the other president lives in a one bedroom apartment that looks like it's in a federally subsidized community and she even had a roommated who slept on a mattress in the living room. not what you would expect from someone who is supposedly bringing it $80,000/year. they hire you, motivate you, tell you what to say, how to feel, and even who to or not to talk to, for as long as they can convince you to stay on until one day you can't afford to live. everyone i know who worked there lost money doing so. not even close to logical. my advice. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.

I was contacted by this company to go do an interview. It made me a little suspicious that they don't have a web site if they serve so many other companies. In looking for their web site I ran across this rip off report page. Are they a legitimate company? It sounds like some strange over-enthusiastic salesman cult.
