Claire's Would not allow refund or exchange WITH receipt Lancaster, Pennsylvania

I recently bought earrings and a set of 3 bracelets and a neckless for a wedding. I asked the cashier if the jewerly I was buying clashed with my dress could I return it and get a refund, she said "yes with your receipt". Due to the recent flooding here in Pa and a 45 min ride it took me 4 days to return it. When I walked into the store I had my receipt and told the cashier I'd like to get a refund. She pushed the items back to me and said " Read the back of your receipt it says we don't refund or exchange fancy jewelry".

I showed her pics of me at the wedding wearing different jewelry and how are we customers to know what "fancy" is considering I got plastic bead bracelets and a generic bead like neckless. She told me "ole well nothing I can do". I demanded a manager and she called her and all I was offered was a store credit after the manager and cashier said "we never do this for anyone and had MAJOR attitude". Why when I used my debit card and all the plastic little tags were intact with no flaws and I had the receipt.

I ended up getting my daughter some hair thing and I had to show my debit card with the last 4 numbers matching the receipt card numbers... plus 2 forms of id even though I had the receipt.

I will NEVER buy a thing in Claires again because they can claim ANY jewerly is "fancy" and your out of your money! I dont care what it says on the back of the receipt, how are we to know what is considered "fancy" when I spent almost $30.00 on generic plain jewelry!!

BEWARE when you buy from there!!!!
