Built a wooden basement under our home, the basement leaked.
They in turn caulked on the inside and it still leaked so we re-dug the outside and redone everything they tried to do right the first time. The BIG thing is they did not want to TRY to redo anything right. Even the inspector sided with them ( no surprise there ) so the contractor is paid and laughing until they see us in court someday.
The deck has numerous untreated boards on it's structural areas and floor supports. Windows leaked, no vapor barrior under the cement floor, no drains / weep tiles under the footings for drainage inside the basement area, no mesh in the cement, no peastone under the cement.
The floor is cracking enough to drop coins into the cracks at some points, I can't wait for the spring rains.
