Classic Van Line Review

I made a commitment with Classic Van Lines moving company relocation specialist Julie Jenner. I was quoted at $1882.13 for my move from Georgia to Virginia for a 2-bedroom apartment.  I paid the deposit. However, I was quoted a lesser price for other companies. I explained that I may change due to the lower price. Julie and her Supervisor assured me that they are charging less per pound, and that I will most likely pay less when they come and pick my items up.

Several Days Before the move, I was called and asked if they can pick up my items a day earlier. I explained that I was not able to allow them to pick it up a day after the original pick up day. They stated that they would call me the day before to go over the items again. However, I did not receive a call to go over my items. I had to call them the day of pick up to confirm the pick-up date. The customer service was horrible.

When the movers arrived, only one mover understood English. I packed all of my items. Once they placed my items on the truck, they came back and stated that my bill is now $2500.00. However, I did not place some of the items in their care. I was highly disappointed because that was too much over the amount quoted to me. I contacted management several times and no one would call me back. However, two days before the move, I complained to the lady that was in-charge because she stated that the owner was out-of-town and she could assist me. She stated that she would call me back. When she called me back, she stated that they could only take off $50.00. This was ridiculous. I explained my disappointment and frustration.

When the movers arrived to my new home, I had to make them put something down on the floor because they did not want to put anything on their shoes.  Again, only one spoke English and immediately requested the rest of the money before placing any of my furniture into the house. They were dropping my items on the floor extremely hard. One also told me that his back was bad and that he could not carry my books up the stairs. I also had to make them put the second bed together. The guy who stated that he could not carry my books up the stairs was extremely rude. I am requesting some of my money back because I was cheated.
