On Jan 17, 2007 I went to the BBB.com site and clicked on "Ask the BBB to Develop a Report" and spent a lot of time sharing the info below.

Just checked the BBB site on Jan 28, 2007 and they still show the following info: "We were unable to find any match for your search criteria." Wondering if they will ever post the info or if they require an inordinate amount of complaints before doing so.

The company ClassicCloseouts.com was listed at BizRate in Sept 2006 according to the BizRate logo posted at the ClassicCloseouts.com site. The BizRate logo showed a good rating, yet I soon learned After Ordering that ClassicCloseouts doesn't like to refund money to others when items are returned. Wish I had bothered to check the full listing of comments at BizRate first to ensure the company was on the up and up but I mistakenly viewed the "Good" BizRate logo at ClassicCloseouts to be correct.

The reason I returned items was Mostly due to the numerous pieces of clothing being Improperly Sized, and of course some of the items were of very poor quality. (These are yet 2 more complaints others matched me on at BizRate!)

Note: ClassicCloseouts basically Refused to give a refund, even though I had followed their explicit instructions required for returns and made sure to ship it well within the 30 day time limit. Yet, every time I contacted their customer service center, they always gave me the very same answer which was: "I have reviewed the account and I did not yet see that a return has been processed, but it is possible that the return will be processing in the very near future. If within the next few weeks you still do not see the account information updated, please do not hesitate to contact us again." The letters were always signed by --> Naamah.

Returned package Using the following: ClassicCloseouts Return Authorization Number ____ - (to be disclosed later Upon Request - Only to person(s) associated with the running of the RipOff site)

I shipped my return box back to ClassicCloseouts on Sep 29, 2006 and the package was Received and Signed for by RFINDLEY on Oct 6, 2006 9:23 AM. Needless to say they Still have Never posted info that they received a return at the site as of Jan 17, 2007.

( Return - FedEx Tracking number ____ - (to be disclosed later Upon Request - Only to person(s) associated with the running of the RipOffReport site)

I made a complaint to BizRate.com on Oct 28, 2006 but they Never bothered to send any reply.

I contacted the Bank who issued the credit card that I made the purchase with after waiting approx. 6 weeks for a refund from ClassicCloseouts.com Spoke with my bank the first week of Nov. 2006 to inform them about the situation and I did send copies of ALL correspondence between myself and Customer Service at Classic Closeouts, including full info from the FedEx tracking and subsequent receipt of my return by ClassicCloseouts.com

By the way, I did spend a lot of time at BizRate looking at the various complaints and discovered that there were Several people who had the same complaints as me. Apparently the ClassicCloseout business knows that if they ignore people long enough, they will go away.

Also, ClassicCloseouts falsely claims at their site that they offer 24/7 Customer Support Online which is Not True at all. They also give 2 differing sets of instructions for return - one is posted at their site and the other is in an email they send with the Return Authorization Number.

Last but not least, here is some brief info which details problems I had at the BizRate site and is in fact part of what I had sent to them in a letter in regards to ClassicCloseouts.

Important NOTE: Interesting, the ClassicCloseouts site no longer has the BizRate logo as of 2:34 pm CST on Wed 17Jan07. Maybe BizRate pulled them due to my complaint in Oct 2006 but who knows?

I have been shopping online for 10 yrs now and this is the first time that any company tried to rip me off. Most people work hard for their money and it's sad to see a company like this get by with how they treat people should their be any problem with their order.

Thanks for listening and I do hope that someone will check into this business' practices. BizRate.com's comment section tells a lot about this company, but Only If BizRate's database is working properly at the time you choose to check into ClassicCloseouts.
