I was charged for an unauthorized renewal to a classmates.com service.

I had a "Gold Membership" for two years but rarely used it. This year I decided not to renew. The company somehow got my new card's expiration date and continued the level of membership.

I emailed classmates.com when I received the renewal email earlier this week as I knew it had to be a mistake. I never got the promised reply. I emailed again tonight, but realized something more had to be done.

I too, after digging, found my account to be set on "automatic" renewal, which I never authorized for any service. I immediately changed that and deleted my card. Tomorrow I will go to the bank and plead my case.

This is a scam and I hope something is done about it.
