Yes. I purchased a 2007 Ascender from Clay Cooley back in 2006. I specifically told them I did not want more than a 4 year car loan. I was told by the sales rep if I could do 5 and after much thought I agreed for a 5 year loan. I was good in paying my vehicle up and current until April of this year (2009), when the financing company Consumer Portfolio Serives took three payments out in one month. I contacted the company and have been in a battle with them since then. I finally got the financing company to deferre one payment of 597.70 on the truck. So, in doing this I had to sign an extension agreement that one payment of 597.70 would be deferred. I also saw the unpaid balance of 19428.81 was still due and would be paid off in 41 payments. So, I called the financing company back and asked them if they were trying to pull a fast one on me and refinancing the vehicle. She stated no my contract w/ClayCooley was for 7 years. I told her no. I specifically told them I would only do 5 years and that was it. So I called customer service and spoke to someone else who stated it is my fault for signing the papers w/out reading over them. I told her I specifically told them what I wanted and trusted that was what I was getting. She stated never trust that companies financially people. Something should have told me something was wrong b/c I tried 3 times to trade in the Ascender back to them for something else and they would not. I keep telling them how can ya'll sell me a car and won't take it back. WHAT CAN I DO? I have been paying on this car since 01/07 until now. KEEP IN MIND THE CAR WAS ONLY WORTH $19000.00 STICKERPRICE ON THE WINDOW. They need to pay for doing people wrong. This is unethical and very unprofessional. I am really considering in returning the vehicle and not paying on it. It is not worth the money they are asking for.    PLEASE HELP......

What did the contract say?

When you signed the papers, did the contract say 5 years?  If so they are legally bound by it.  If not, then it was your due dilligence to make sure everything was squared away before signing.
