Clay Cooley Westside Hyundai ripoff-scam artist Weatherford Texas
The Clay Cooleys saleperson said he could give me a better deal than I was offered by another dealer. He told me he could get me much lower monthly payments. After agreeing to the deal I found that his terms were for 5 yrs and not 3 yrs like the other dealer had offered. Since I had given my word I felt obligated to sign the contract. I got $3500 for my trade and paid $3000 down. A few days after getting the truck home I saw signs of major body repair. I called the original owner and he confirmed it had been wrecked. I called the delearship and they said it had not been wrecked (at least it didn't show up on the car fax report). I told them I would bring the truck back and only wanted my trade and my down payment back. They refused to take any action (Buyer Beware). Also they charged a state inspection fee on the contract but did not do an inspection. I called the company owner in Dallas and he told me to go back to the Weatherford delearship and deal with them....still no help. I have since taken this truck to other dealers to get it appraised but since it had been wrecked it is not worth near what I owe against it. If you deal with these people check the vehicle out completly and be sure they are quoting you apples to apples.
