Complaint Review: Clean N' Dry Carpet & Upholstery

I was moving out and I saw the same Advertisement posted at http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/426/RipOff0426094.htm.

I should have checked this website first.

Two days prior, I called 866-552-5236. I asked the guy on the other line how much it was for 2-rooms. He said, whatever it says on the coupon that I have. At that time, I had a clipper magazine coupon book. I double-checked that it was $49.99 for two rooms, he said yes.

Anyway, two guys came over to my house. The name of the guy in-charge goes by the name "Andres." As soon as they stepped into my house, the assistant started rigging the equipment. Andres asked me to show him the 2 rooms that need to be cleaned. We came back downstairs and started giving me a quote. The quote was (Readers: please hold your breath and make sure you're sitting down), $319 for two rooms.

I almost had a heart attack since it was wayyy over the $49.99 advertised price. He claims that it's a "deep cleaning" service. I was like, I only need the basic. But he insisted that deep cleaning is better. I told him I understand that but I only need the basic. He lowered down the price to $110 but that does not include the 13-step stairs. He said, that would an additional $85.

At this point, I am soo frustrated with Andres. They seem like they are not going to budge. Final price was $195 for deep cleaning. They started work on the 2 bedrooms which was 400 sq-ft in size. After almost 30-mins, the "deep cleaning" is done. Wow, it only took them 30-mins for a deep clean??? This, with just one vacuum being used! I'm not even close to being impressed, but my exclamation mark simply denotes sarcasm.

They left without giving me any receipt. I was so upset that I forgot to ask them for one. I just wanted them to go away. How can these people sleep at night? Knowing we have a horrying economy and yet victimize people.
