Greedy American companies, hungry for cheap labor leads to bad customer service and compromising sensitive consumer financial information.  This great democracy will not fall from any outside force but from within.  American workers replaced by cheap foreign labor. America will fall by greed and more greed.

Called Clear.com (877-499-6681) from Las Vegas, Nevada Wednesday July 11th, 2012 around 3pm and ordered Clear 4G mobile USB at 49.99 per month plus 24.99 for the USB stick.  Appears he had a problem with my billing address on my CC.  Guy seems to be American, spoke perfect English and twice I repeated my, credit card info, current location address and billing address on my cc.  Explicitly asked if there was a problem to which he replied no, completed the order and gave me a reference number.  Before he got off the phone I asked for his name to which he replied Tim quickly ending the call without giving me his last name.

Next day I got a voice mail from Kristin (activation department) at 702-965-1398 claiming they need to verify the billing address on my CC.  Naturally I returned the call only to be connected to somebody in the Philippines who had a difficult time understanding plain old American English.  Explaining to her the problem she routed me to somebody in the billing or activation department.  Repeated my problem like a parrot to this new guy who wanted to verify my personal financial information.  Asking where I was born and the last four to my credit card.  When I placed the order no one asked for birth place.

Who does?  His English was broken so I asked his name and location.  Turns out he is from Central America and his name is Oscar Amador.   I do believe he gave me a phony name.   Great, now I have another person in another country asking for sensitive personal financial data.  Frustrated and suspicious I hanged up the phone and called 877-499-6681.  Rose Jones in South Florida answered, yet again repeating myself like a parrot.  I asked her to transfer me to appropriate department and wound up yet again speaking to someone in the Philippines.  Who informed me that they cannot connect me to 702-965-1398.

My trial and tribulations with clear.com is indicative of what has gone wrong with American companies.   Greedy for American dollars but fail to see that quality customer care and trust is the foundation for business success. Placing sensitive consumer data at risk to foreign entities and laying the groundwork for mistrust, frustration and confusion.  Consumer dont want to give out financial information to foreign entities, we dont want to be shuffled from country to county, repeating ourselves like a parrot, trying to speak to people with broken English.

Want American dollarshire American workers.  Want Russian Dollars hire Russian workers.  Want Latin dollarshire Latin workers.  Want Pilipino dollars.hire Pilipino workers.   Do you think any Latin, Pilipino or Russian consumer will give out their personal financial information to American workers?  Hell No.   All I want is for somebody at Clear to read this and cancel my order.   Would rather send smoke signals than deal with foreign workers and bad customer service.   I posted this comment on http://www.facebook.com/CLEAR4G and of course they promptly deleted my post.
