I too had the displeasure of being called by "Account Services". Unfortunately, I did give them information about my cards and myself. I am not sure why, but at the time I was desperate for some help with my debt.

After going through all of the proceeding I ended up getting their information mailed to me via USPS. After receiving the information, I decided that I did not want to use this service and I wanted to rescind (cancel without obligation by either party) within the 7 days that they stated I had to rescind. It was clearly stated on the documents that you have a 7 DAY RESCISSION PERIOD.

That is when the hassle began. I called the company many, many times. Most times, I stayed on the phone on hold for over 20 minutes, other times I was hung up on and better yet there were times I was told that I would be called back within a few hours (NEVER got a call back). They pushed me off until the 7 day rescission period ended, and then told me that I would have to give them more information before they could process a refund.

I then contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. I also contacted the Better Business Bureau of Georgia and the NYS Attorney General.

The credit card company was finally able to help me reverse the $990.00 charge to my card. I think that the $990.00 is too much money for a service that simply wants to lower interest rates and get you out of debt sooner.

They are obviously out to get your money no matter what and I think their practices are truly unethical.
