Hi All,
Trying to get the word out about a developer who took me for $500. He quoted me at 6 days for completion, and 2 months later had still not finished. When I asked for my money back, he never responded. Finally a month later I got a hold of hm, and he said he had done so much work and I was not getting my money back. He did nothing, and has nothing to show for all the 'work' he did. His company is cleggdigitalmedia.com . Clegg Digital Media. He is a 22 year old kid who lives with his parents and runs an internet scam. Beware, he only communicates through yahoo messenger, and never returns emails or phone calls. He is a fake, and I want to ruin his business as much as he ruined mine. He is based out of Clearwater Florida, and he mass advertises on craigslist, and adds his name to pages all over the internet to get google hits. I hope this saves more people from getting taken by this scam artist!!!

Christopher Clegg replied to my ad (hiring web programmer) on Craigslist and gave me a quote of $900 for 7-10 days period. I sent him a $450 check as a deposit and he cashed it immediately on March 16th 2007. I knew something was fishy when I found he had cashed the check immediately, since most web developers will cash the check after the work is done, or put the money in an escrow account until all work is complete. Then when I asked him to show me my project about 1 month later. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. I'm not lying - nothing has been done. He gave me a lot of lies and promises like giving me a discount, working on my project, firing his staff and restaffing his team. The truth is anything came out from his mouth were all lies. He did nothing for the project.
Then I rehired another programmer to work on my website and requested a refund from him. He said that I need a written proposal mailed to him to get a refund. Then 1 month later, NOTHING came from him. Then he said that my written proposal is not valid and made me to write him another one. At the very end, he blamed me for being pushy and rude. Could you believe it? He basically stole my money away and still has the guts to blame me. Then he threatened me if I ever post any HONEST REVIEWS about his business, he is going slander my business and optimize the business slandering results with all search engines.
From my experience, Christopher Clegg and his company CleggDigitalMedia.com are all scams. I advise anyone who is looking for a web programmer, graphic designer to STAY AWAY FROM CleggDigitalMedia.com

It has been a month since I sent him my written proposal and I gave up, haven't heard from the guy. Originally after saying it would take 6 days, 1 month passed, and he said 'this is getting out of hand, my developers have all been fired and I am re-staffing. I will give you a 50% discount so you will not owe me any more money after it is completed'.
Another month passed, I demanded money back, I called his cell 10 times one day, he never answered, and he threatened to sue me for harrassment. Then he said he would refund me, then he changed his mind and said I would have to come after him to get it. He said I was the ONLY unsatisfied customer. He doesn't have a lawyer, his 'wife' is a criminal justice major in college so he uses her for legal advice. I'd be willing to bet that after sending him a written proposal, you wont get anywhere with him either.

If you have a valid and legitimate complaint against me in the last 3 years, please contact me. I will do anything and everything I can to try and resolve the issue with you. The problem with online reports is that they are usually not reviewed for accuracy or validated for authenticity or facts. I have had many false complaints filed against me or complaints filed that were resolved and never updated. Reports that are many, many years old stay on this website, unvalidated, and destroy someone's reputation. I take great pride in my reputation and my relationships with my clients. I was hired to design and code a website for him and went about business very professionally with Chris. Even during his busy travel time, he managed to find time to pay me. Every penny. My experience with Chris has been great and I can very much understand how peoples emotions take over that they've been 'ripped off', that they'll go and post things like these about him and his business.
Calm down, take a deep breath, and send him a nice email. I bet he will be more than happy to take care of your problem.

Inaccurate Claims by Frustrated People

These claims are either completely inaccurate or mostly inaccurate. Anyone who has an issue with a service being provided and requested a refund in a professional manner would be given refund instructions and a partial refund would be offered minus time invested into the project that could be proven. If you paid via PayPal and submitted a CLAIM before requesting a refund, then the matter was handled with PAYPAL, if you won your claim, then you won and were granted your refund, if you LOST the claim, then PayPal decided that you could not show enough evidence to prove you deserved a refund or that we had enough evidence to prove you did not deserve a refund. Any party filing a PayPal claim was warned before completion of the claim that whether they win or lose, their project would be terminated. All had the option to REMOVE the claim and either have us continue work or request a partial refund directly through us. These are a FEW complaints from people who did not fully understand the process of completing their project, and they let their frustrations take over. CDM handled many more projects that were completed on time, or even a little late, but satisfied the client. These people set out for revenge instead of a conclusion to their issues. If communication was halted with you, it was due to threats of legal action or, even worse, violent threats. To the people who have went as far as posting a report here, the reason you do not have your completed work or a partial refund is due to your own actions, threats, and unprofessional behavior.
