On 4-14 I tried to order AVG virus program, and somehow a ClickBank site came up. Thinking that was what I wanted, I completed order & paid through PayPal. In trying to download, was directed to install a program. (might have been ARES?) Was then directed by email to at least two other websites to install.

Discovered this wasn't virus software at all; it was some kind of membership for iTunes, etc. Requested and received a couple of days later a refund through PayPal.

On 4-15 a $1. pending charge to iTunes appeared on my credit card account. Cr. Card Co. advises merchants sometimes do this to verify card. On 4-17 three other bogus pending charges appeared. Today, pending charges in excess of $11,000 appeared.

I believe my security was breached either through the installation of the program they told me to install, or through one of the two or three websites they referred me to in the installation process.

Be that as it may, the website is definitely misleading. Deliberately misleading.
