was picking up a load for carrier in Ga. Had a 1pm appointment. after sitting till about 5 pm, called the broker to see why I am waiting on load, was told they usually take a while to load and that I would be paid $50 an hour for up to 5 hours for detention time. Finally got loaded at 1 am the next morning. Asked my dispatcher of the policy for detention pay, was told driver would be paid 100% of detention pay when company is paid. After about 3 weeks of paychecks, had not recieved detention pay, asked dispatch if they have been paid, was told yes and to this day I have not been paid 1 cent of the detention pay. And believe that was fired on my 90th day because of this instead of what they implied me to be terminated for.

i have worked for climate express for 7 years and yes they are not a perfect co, if they were then everyone would work there, there is one person there that really hurts the co because he shows no respect to the drivers, The owner is an exceptionally nice person and so is his brother, all the dispatchers are good people, but there is one that I wish they would have fired, and about the fifty dollars an hr, thats bullcrap, the owner operators get 30 an hr and the company drivers get 12.50 an hr after 3 hrs and that is only if the customer pays up, everyone in the shop are good people, even the shop forman KK and Rob in safety, I'm sorry I quit there but I am getting close to retirement and want to be home more, there have been a lot of drivers who have quit in the past when KK was in dispatch, but he was a good dispatcher, but he has a short temper so they moved him to the shop,  but if you live in Washington,Mo or near there you can get on the regional runs and be home every week-end, they do hire out of state but your home time is not that great, and there is one really bad thing about the co, they start you off at 30 cpm and thats for everyone, don't matter how much experience you have, when I started it was higher and my pay was pretty good when I quit..
