In late 2009/ early 2010 I attempted to sell an exotic vehicle using the duPont Registry. To say the least it was a waste of money. The magazine is titled "The dreamers gallery" for a reason... the only people who will ever call you are simply DREAMING they can afford your vehicle. After paying an absurd amount of money for 2 magazine issues and internet advertising until sold I was contacted by Clint Sly, the "president" of this shitty company. Sly told me that I was a fraud and that my car didn't exist simply because he had recieved phony reports about the car. He then pulled my ad offline and proceeded to call me vulgar names. He said that I was unprofessional and didn't know how to run a business. Long story short this guy is a needled**k, as**ole. I attempted to hold an intelligent conversation with him about my vehicle and he didn't want to hear it. He sounded very angry, I'd imagine he has a hard time looking in the mirror in the morning knowing that he steals peoples money everyday, offering a service that delivers no results. Stay away from this c**ksucker.

Credibility Earned - Clint Sly

#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

Tue, June 14, 2011

In reply to this individuals comments, to state that the publication is a "rip off" because of his experience is unfair to the publications rich 27 year history.  The duPont REGISTRY has advertisers that have been with the company for 27 years...never missed an issue.  It's a very effective marketing vehicle.

I do not know who this individual is, but from the sound of it and the language used, they do not seem credible.  If a call was placed and an ad deleted, it is because we received numerous complaints and investigated the vehicle.  If the call was short and terse, it was because this individual tried to convince us the vehicle is something different than our investigation found. Without more information,  it is difficult to determine.

The duPont REGISTRY is used by many international luxury and exotic brands to reach consumers.  There is no question it works very well when used correctly.  The publication does everything possible to protect it's readers. Credibility is earned over time and 27 years is a long time.

Does the duPont REGISTRY work for everyone?  The publication can not control price and condition of vehicles, and how the response to the ads are handled.  However, the publication does reach athletes, entertainers and "Car Guy's every month who have the ability to, and do spend.

I recommend this individual leave me out of his complaint.  If you would like the matter resolved, and you have a legitimate concern, then contact Tom duPont to address a positive resolution.  The company is committed to building and maintaining professional relationships.

Respectfully,
