Complaint Review: Closets by Design

I had Closets by Design customize a walk-in closet for a bedroom.  Eight weeks after installation complete...drawer slide became bent and drawer was inoperable.  Over the next nine months three of the four drawers were inoperable because the hardware is so weak and crimps easily causing drawer to become stuck.

I called Addison office to request new hardware or a service appointment. I was told Josh would call me back. Several weeks later I called again. Josh is always in meetings as the "Production Manager"!!! Total of four calls and no return call.

I called the "Corporate offices of Closets by Design" and inquired as to filing a complaint regarding their franchise in Addison, Illinois. I was told that corporate does not tract individual franchises nor are they interested in product quality or service quality specific to a certain franchise. No wonder we dislike corporate America.

My "Lifetime Guarantee" became a lifetime nightmare of a stack of drawers inoperable and a lifetime waiting for Josh to call me back.
