I TOOK A JOB AT CLUB TAN CENTERS OF OREGON AS A MANAGER FROM RON ZEMP THE OWNER. LITTLE DID I KNOW WHAT A NIGHTMARE IT WAS GOING TO BE. I WALKED OUT BECAUSE OF THE WAY HE HANDLED CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH THERE ACCOUNT, DO TO CORPERATE MISHAPS(LIKE TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE CUSTOMER BANK ACCOUNT, EVEN AFTER THERE PACKAGES WERE ALREADY PAID OFF.) LOOK AT THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREO, AND THE CAMPLAINTS FILED AT THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE AND SEE YOURSELF. BUT THE MAIN REASON I FILED THIS IS THE WAY HE TREATS HIS STAFF. YOU CANNOT TRACK THE COMMISSIONS YOU MAKE, YOU CAN HAVE COMMISSIONS TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU AT HIS DISCRESSION. WORK YOU 60 HOURS A WEEK, AND STILL YELL AT YOU. I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT I WON MY LAWSUIT AGAINST HIM THIS WEEK! THE REASON I AM POSTING THIS IS TO SEE IF ANYONE HAS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN THE LAST SEVEN YEARS, AND WANTS TO STAND UP AND SAY YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME. SO PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE OR NO SOMONE WHO HAS, PLEASE CONTACT ME. THANKS!

The truth is

that the employees who leave Forever Young usually leave because they are PISSED.  I lasted less than a month there.  I was asked to work very long shifts with no, or almost no breaks.  My paycheck was docked for a half hour break even if I didn't take it.  I was told I couldn't leave until the next tech showed up, and sometimes they don't show up because they hate it too.  I was given like, an hour to do tretements that take two, and tretements were shoved on me that weren't on my schedule.

The owners don't care. All they want is your money, they don't care if you are happy after you pay.

It was awful.

Good for you! I'm glad you won your case! If you'll notice he now has his wife, Jennifer, doing all the dirty work and she's just as bad as him! I spent over three months trying to get in touch with corporate when I finally gave up. This company does not care one bit about it's clients, they only care about the money so I can only imagine how bad it is for the staff! That does explain the high turn over rate, every eight weeks it seems to be a whole new staff (by staff I mean the ones who actually work not the ones hired to sit around and look pretty.) They'll continue to scam many more people out of thousands of more dollars, however, it won't be anyone I know. I've already referred three of my friends to a more reputable company, I only wish I could get my money back to do the same! - Amber Panagos

learn to spell. The fact that this website uses a spell checker makes it even more incredible that you'd choose to appear so ignorant.

From a former manager - Club Tan and its owner are HORRIBLE

I spent two years managing three Club Tan locations in the mid to late 90's. It looks as though nothing has changed. The owner, Ron Zemp, is quite possibly one of the worst people in the world. He overworks his employees, they almost always work alone, and that means absolutely no breaks whatsoever. He also tries to intimidate everyone who works for him, and fires people at the drop of a hat for no reason at all.

Back in the late 90's when they were open 24 hours half of the year, I worked 36 hour shifts more than once. Again, I never even got a break.

Beware of the auto debit memberships. They will take your account information and will continue to charge you a monthly fee until the bank stops allowing them to. It doesn't matter if you cancel your account with Club Tan, they will continue to charge you until you tell your bank to stop letting them take your money.

I had to deal with poor customers who constantly complained about me (CLUB TAN) continuing to take their money months after canceling their memberships - and this was in '97 and '98!

Nothing has changed and it never will. If this Jeff guy from Club Tan makes a rebuttal, do not believe anything he says. Club Tan is absolutely the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of working for.
