I paid for my childs tution in full for 8 mths. 2 mths and club Z is closing down .the e-mail says they would default on our payments.They owe me approximately 900 cad dollars. Who do I approach to get my money back.

This situation resulted unexpectedly from the actions of one of our franchisees (who was independently owned and operated) and is not indicative of the high quality service for which Club Z! is known. i AM a tutor working for clubZ but did not receive my December payments yet.
They told me to pick it up today/ yesterday (not sure b/c email was confusing...stated ..If you want your payments for the month of Dec 2011. Please come to the office today as he would be available as of tomorrow.)  but yesterday no one was there..and today, a man opened the door and only gave me a sheet of paper (stating closing company) and said that's all the information there. The man refused to answer any questions and when I said I'm here to pick up my december statement b/c Fatima emailed me...he stated that Fatima does not work for ClubZ. How is that possible when I have been receiving emails from her. Now all the emails aren't working and no one picks up one and I left voice msg but no replies, and I don't know who to contact. I got my cheque for previous 2 months but only just got it yesterday and deposited yesterday into bank account. I don't even know for sure if it be processed since I've been ignored regarding my Dec payments. I tried to contact A Farbers and Partners Inc  (since the note stated to contact them b.c they're the trustee ) but they stated the company did not file any bankruptcy.
