Three days ago, I was approached by 2 Kirby sellers. One of them offered me 2 rooms cleaned/shampooed for free in exchange for a 40 minutes product demonstration (Kirby vacuum) with no strings attached. I informed my wife and my son about it and we accepted it. We waited for about 20 minutes, apparently they were doing the same demonstration at another neighbor's house. They came at separate times into my house. I showed one of them the rooms that I wanted clean, he demonstrated the Kirby's features. We were trully impressed by the product so we asked him for its price, he said $1989.00 before taxes, we thought it was extremely expensive, but we allowed him to continue with his demonstration. Somehow he managed to convince us to buy the Kirby after he offered a payment plan he called "same as cash" or the total price after taxes $2153.00 paid over 12 months after a $613.09 down payment. The seller stated that he would get a paid vacation to Cancun after collecting 2 more signatures from committed costumers. During the transaction, he offered us a free wood buffer attachment and one year supply of bags and he was supposed to deliver these today. He never returned. Tonight I just happened to browse the internet looking for reviews on the Kirby at Consumer Reports on line, the first anomaly I noticed was the Kirby Sentria's suggested retail price of $1350,00. I started to search for on line distributors to verify this price and then I found this website. I intent to return this product tomorrow (Monday (14 April) unless the sales person adjust the Kirby's price to at least the above retail price and delivers the rest of the promised goods.

Do it now

Hey, you better do it now. When I tried to return one that I bought on a Thursday that Saturday, the office was closed up. So, I thought the 3 day period would roll over to Monday. WHen I went in on Monday they refused to take the papers back and said it was pass the 3 business days. Now, tell me this, Is business days Monday-Friday? IF the office is not open on Saturday then the next business day would be Monday, correct? Also, the owner ask when did I bring it up there and when I told him he swore he was in the office. I made 3 recordings of the office locked up with padlocks and the time of day I went. I had witnesses from 3 other businesses in the area that said they are hardly open on Saturdays if ever and that they were not open then.

I am in the process of having to sue these guys to get out of the contract. With video and other business owners on both sides of the business as witness to me being there to return the paper he still insist he was there. I got closeups of the padlocks on the door and even the neighboring business took pictures.. So, my advice is to get it done before the 3 days are up so you can avoid this hassle. Kirby is a great product-The salesman and distributors makes the people take a second look and return it. Maybe Kirby should consider direct sales from there factory.. I am sure their sales would increase without the greaseballs making the product look bad
