In June of 2012 i traded in a 2002 Ford Windstar in which i was purchasing from jd byrider, they took the vehicle as an down payment for a 2001 PT Cruiser.  Everything was going good until I was laid off of work and then told them that I was laid off.  I had almost a grand invested in the PT cruiser.  CNAC is now telling me that they are not "repoing" my car they are backing me out of the contract.  One question that I have is that since they backed out of the contract am I able to collect the down payment since they explained to me that it was like the contract will be as if it never existed.  And am i entitled to the vehicle that i traded in back.

I had worked with JD Byrider before and never had this much trouble out of them.  I am going to be stuck when they come and get the car, because i traded my van in and now what

They're getting the car and now you're stuck and s**t out of luck (sorry but the truth may hurt). I'm going through the EXACT same thing, don't know if you believe in God but all you can do is pray and just save save save until you have a decent amount for a REAL car with a REAL finance company. CNAC is full of sh*. I regret ever buying a car from them. Worst mistake of my life but it taught me a valuable lesson, NEVER be taken advantage of again. I reported them to the BBB today and next move is to contact my state's attorney. I thought the same thing, they wanna be asshoes about the piece of crap car, FINE I'll get my down payment of $1600 and go elsewhere and buy a BETTER CHEAPER WORTH MY BUCK car. NOT THE CASE. They are really bad. Bad people. Bad business. Just chalk it up as a lost and keep it movin. Honestly that's all you can do. Just make sure you get word out to ALL you know and those you don't to DO OT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE
