CNAC JD Byrider Demand Repo Shut Off Bills Personal Information Marietta Ohio

My payment was due Friday, January 2nd.  It is now Monday January 5th.  I called CNAC to let them know I had an unforseen extra expense, but I would be making payment tomorrow, January 6th, 2014.  That wasn't good enough.  They sent my call straight to an account manager and she answered the phone, in a very snotty tone I must add, and said "What's going on" (very abruptly).  I explained I had an unforseen bill that I had to pay.  She demanded to know if it was a shut off notice for a utility or what it was.  I told her I didn't feel that my reasons for being late were financial.  That should have been enough.  It's not like I was asking for two weeks.  I needed a few days from the 2nd to pay it.

This wicked account representative, Crystal, told me my car could have been repossessed on Saturday since I didn't make the payment and that when I do make the payment I have to fax documentation of a shut off notice, other bill, etc.  Is that really any of her flipping business?

I've had this vehicle since September 2013.  I pay $187 every two weeks.  I've been late three other times due to being off on FMLA for two surgeries last Spring.  While my medical issues were going on they even asked for documentation from my doctor that I was off work and the reason.

NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!

I'm almost to the point where I'm going to say come and get the car.

The book value of the car was less than $7000 but I'll end up paying $19000 for the car.  I think these b******* can afford for me to be a couple days late.

I am 6 days late on my payment right now I have asked to be given 4 more days. I bought the Hyudai Sante Fe January 15, 2016. I pay 198.00 every 2 weeks. The car is valued at 4000.00 I have paid over 6000.00 and is 12 payments from being finished. I have been an average of 3 payments ahead for 2 and a half years. I am being told to expect a repo.

I am dealing with the same exact office now! Crystal isn't my finance manager but I have spoke to her and she is mean! What happened? Did you keep the car? Is it possible to pay them off? I feel like it isn't!

You have violated the terms of the agreement four times. How many times has the lender violated the terms of the agreement?

You really have no idea, do you?  I completely understand what I agreed to when I purchased the car.  Furthermore, I understand the car is not "mine" until it's paid off.  You obviously have never had extreme circumstances financially.  Good for you!  I'm happy you have not gone through what I have, however, that doesn't negate the fact that they are rude and intrusive.

Sub-Prime Lender signing off...I hope you make it far in your career with JD Byrider/CNAC.  You're just their type.  But you may want to think about stepping down off that high horse.  It makes your butt look big.

Regards!

You know nothing about me, my life, or my finances.  I most certainly do not feel entitled to special treatment.

- And I could care less about your finances.  But unless the loan agreement YOU signed stated that you only had to make a payment when you could YOU are asking for "special treatment" and yes because of you complaining about it means you feel you are "entitled".

But based on your tone it came across as though you know nothing about the daily struggles of the average American consumer.  Being dismissive of my situation and trying to beat me down and make me feel "sub-prime".

- Again...yes as much as you don't want to think so, your credit is considered "sub-prime".  The reason you are there DOES NOT matter.  And again beleive it or not your attitude is very typical of "sub-prime" borrowers who think that a company MUST help them out if they run into "problems".  The person you talked to probably had 2 dozen people call before you and another couple dozen call after you just on that day giving them an "excuse" why they would have to be late....99% of those people have a history of lying.  So yes, even if your reason is 100% legitimate you will be treated the same exact way as everyone else, because they do not have the time to filter out if you are the 1 who is actually truthful and honest.   If you wanted to be treated better...then prove it by making your payments ON-TIME every time build back up your credit and get a loan with a "better" lender.

Really?  And how do you know this?  If they wanted it bad enough they know where it's parked.  I just think there is a better way to do business than threatening your customers.

- How do I know this...because until you pay off the car it is THEIR car and they maintain the legal right to reposess the vehicle.  Of course they could be overly nice and not say they can reposess your car.  But again they are dealing with people who will only react to threats..remember the old saying "The squeeky wheel gets the grease".

Now, they like most companies will not go around reposessing cars for people that are a couple of days late.  However, if they get the feeling you will fail to fulfill your LEGAL obligation they have every right to come and get it to protect their interest.  Oh and yes this is exactly what you agreed to when you got the loan.

- As I said..typical subprime attitude. If you do that you will have a reposession on your record AND still owe the balance of the loan.

As I said, typical snarky JD Byrider attitude.  You sure you don't work for them?  You make assumptions about things you know nothing about.  Come down off your high horse, please.

It is very obvious by this "RipOff" as to why you are now and at least for the foreseable future be with a "sub-prime" lender.   Because you somehow think that you are "entitled" to things you are not.  Unless your loan agreement somehow stated you only had to make your payments on-time, if something "unexpected" didn't come up, you owe your payment ON the due date.   Of course they are rude...they allowed you to borrow several thousand dollars on the promise you would pay them back at a set time and for a set amount and you are going back on your promise.  Based on your report...at least several times.

And it's very obvious to me that you just felt the need to be snarky and I drew the lucky number.  You know nothing about me, my life, or my finances.  I most certainly do not feel entitled to special treatment.  I am a single father with custody of all three of my children.  I'm paying for extra medical expenses not just for myself, but also for my children.  But based on your tone it came across as though you know nothing about the daily struggles of the average American consumer.  Being dismissive of my situation and trying to beat me down and make me feel "sub-prime".

The ONLY reason I had to resort to JD Byrider was because of a messy divorce and custody battle that both left me pennyless and in debt.  I couldn't get a car anywhere else because my wife, after the seperation, took a brand new Chrysler van with less than 20k miles on it back to the dealership and handed them the keys.  My credit took a huge hit on this.  I've been 2 to 3 days late three other times.  And, as I stated before, this was because I HAD TO BE OFF FOR TWO (2) SURGERIES IN THE SPRING.  Cumulatively, I missed over five months of work in 2014.  During that time is when I was a little late on the payment.

- And when did this expense come up?  Was it before the 2nd as if so then why didn't you call them on Friday?  If it came up over the weekend...then why would this extra expense matter.  Since it was unexpected you should have been able to make your payment on Friday, well that is  unless you were planning to be late regardless of this unexpected expense.

Perhaps you should get a job with JD Byrider if you're not already an employee.  You sure do sound like one.  Again, the tone in your rebuttal was rude and demeaning as though I planned for my credit to be this way just so I can screw companies over by not paying my bills.  Just as it's none of her business what type of bill it was, it's also none of yours.  I didn't call Friday because I was at work during business hours.  Due to the nature of my work, there are governement regulations in place that deny me the privilege of having my cell phone on the property.  And before you even ask, NO, I won't tell you where I work.

- Wait a minute...you are claiming an unexected expense but then say the reason isn't financial?  So which is it

That was a typo because I was being distracted while writing that sentence.  What I intended to say was I didn't feel that my reasons for being late were any of her business.  That is what the sentence should have said.  Sorry for "confusing" you.

- She is 100% right.  Just be lucky they didn't or you would have extra expenses.

Really?  And how do you know this?  If they wanted it bad enough they know where it's parked.  I just think there is a better way to do business than threatening your customers.  Life happens.  Things come up.  Unexpected bills come up.  And sometimes people need surgery too.  They DID NOT have the right to ask for medical documentation, otherwise when I refused to provide it they would have picked up the car.  Surely you know that's the case.  My medical info is private.

- Yes..yes it is if you want them to help you.  After all you are trying to get them to give you an exception.  If you truly had an emergency you should be more than willing to tell them.

I did tell them!  When we talked on the phone I stated I had an unexpected bill that had to be paid.  I will not, however, fax or email personal info such as bills, checking account info, etc. to people I don't even know.  Not one time have I laid eyes on "Crystal".

- As I said..typical subprime attitude.  If you do that you will have a reposession on your record AND still owe the balance of the loan
