Not only do these guys misrepresent b cars and financing to people, they're not even honest to u you when you work there. I had discrepancies with my pay, r given tasks junior even to my deflated pay grade, and don't g even get me started on the hours that I was forced to work.e (forget everything else, it just doesn't matter to them) Oh r by the way they'll bad mouth you later. I should'nt let this place bother me, but it does. I'm quitting - are you hearing this?

Not to conduct business with them, in the first place.

I am a customer/victim of JD ByRider. I place the two words together because this is the way I feel about my experience with JD ByRider.

Regarding JD ByRider:
It is true that they sell terrible cars to the public and on an average of 40% more of what they are worth.

It is true that they sell cars they purchased in auctions, and while they may perform SOME repairs in order to have the car operable, the customer does receive about a year, (or a certain mileage), of warranty.

Trying to get an "appointment" with the service department is like making an appointment to see the doctor. Usually it's weeks before you can get in. Meantime, you still have to get to work and take a risk with a car that may be less than safe. But the choice is still given to the customer before they sign the paperwork. One does know that you are not getting a new car, and that you are taking a risk when purchasing a car "AS IS"! The sales staff makes that very clear before you sign the paperwork.

The application process takes a long time, and they way they do it in such a manner that it is rather intimidating. Placing cameras and microphones, taping the entire process with the finance manager and you. It was intimidating and somewhat offensive since I sort of felt like a criminal. But after hearing what they had to say, I felt like I had no other alternative.

It is true that they advertise that 'one can get into a car for as little at $199.00 down payment', but when they run a report, etc., then the down payment request increases "in order for them to feel like you are serious about purchasing a car."

In retrospect, I now realize that I could have purchased a car through a car dealership, paying the same amount of down payment JD ByRider requested; but JD ByRider convinced me that 'no one else would have given me credit.'

I have bad credit due to my poor choices and priorities in the past. I can't place the blame on anyone but myself. I can say however, that with perseverance and making my payments and working with other creditors to make payments, I have improved my score considerably, and JD ByRider has helped me with that.

I even lost my job and got behind with my payments, but JD ByRider worked with me to get my account up to date. I paid a payment and a half for a period of time until I got caught up.
But, what I realized was that through communication with JD ByRider and perseverance, the car is almost paid for. And it has worked for me and it has given me very little problems.

So, I have to say that I have ambivalent feelings with respect to JD ByRider. I did get a raw deal when it comes to paying more for what the car is worth.

But, they have worked with me to get back on track and never even placed the late payments on the three major credit reporting agencies.

Now, deep down inside, I still feel like I got ripped off with respects to the car price vs. what is worth. But how do you get mad with people that are working with you in times of difficulty?

Again I say, if you don't want to be ripped off, better you take the bus for a while, save the money and go to a dealership and make a huge down payment so you can get a better car, and a better warranty. Doesn't your family deserve to be safe?
