I have purchased autographed sports items and some music and historic pieces over the past year, before I became educated in the world of fakes and worthless COA's. The Coach's Corner monthly online auctions have almost no authentic items, in my opinion. I am an art collector and none of the art pieces are real. Hey, they sold a signed Picasso for less then $1000. What a deal!
Babe Ruth balls, going for a few hundred dollars, should be worth 1000's if they were real. The same for the Mickey Mantle items. They use an in-house service called STAT for the certificates of authenticity and that's a problem. They obviously never saw a Beatle's signature in their life. Or Marilyn Monroe's or Neil Armstrong. They are all awful fakes. Yet people buy this stuff for ridiculously low prices. I was suckered in by the low costs and ended up with fake stuff, but no more. If it sounds too good to be true, it can't be real. I have gotten wiser and realize I must pay a reasonable price for real signed autographs. I will keep the fakes as a reminder of my past mistakes, but only look at sites like Coach's Corner, and also NE Autographs, Guaranteed Autographs, and autographs america, as pathetic attempts to rip-off the public. Let the buyer beware.
