This company is misleading clients into thinking they are getting a DISCOUNTED REBUILT TRANSMISSON and all REPAIR FEES COME OUT THE FEES PAID TO THEM. Coast to Coast does not list the fine print details and refusing to provide written company policy on the transaction.

We have a 1994 Ford Probe that we were told by AAMCO and Cottmans Transmission it needed a new transmission. Both said it would cost around $3000.00 to repair. AFFORD That was beyond our price range so we looking for a rebuilt transaxle for the vehicle. Thats when we found COAST TO COAST 24 HOUR TRANSMISSION which by whats on their web page offers discounted rebuilt transmissions and transaxle, which includes free towing, discounted labor a three year warranty. NONE OF THIS IT TRUE. Coast to Coast is a scam and if you have delt with these people please contact us at Box 3709, Winchester., Va 22604. They are not to be trusted, and appearently using fake names with different clients, after reading other reports on line. Coat to Coast is a Brokerage company, not a transmission repair shop as they claim. They locate a dealer who will work with you at a supposed discounted fee. Not true, YOU are still stuck with the repair bill over and above the fees paid to Coast to Coast.

Coast to coast took $1097.00 from our bank account, in violation of the the signed agreement, they misrepsented themselfs to Belchems Transmissions, the shop that fixed our car for $110.00 for a bad air sensor. They told Coast to Coast that it was not the transmission from the beginning, at that point Coast to Coast should have left our account alone, but the fact is they took the money before Belchems had looked at the car or had the keys, the tow truck driver didn't give them the keys for 2 days.

A Mr.Curly Brown at 867 Deering Road, Pasadena Maryland, 1-800-890-3718 is the local representative, he says he knew nothing about this, yet he is the one we have had most contact with. The supposed boss of this operation goes by the name of Rich, no last name given. In fact no one will give us there full names except Curly if that is his real name. Again after looking at other complaint on this web site these names are totally different then the names previously used by this company in the last two months.

Aviod this company like the plague. Write back if you have had contact with them.

In all fairness to Curly Brown, he is the sells rep, and has no say in what Denton does. But he is the sells rep and by now knows the score with this company, with the bait and switch tactics they are using. He has been helpful but really has no say in over all operations. Acording to a Mr. Turneer, Coast to Coast uses a baited canned sells speach which is as follows:

Your cost will be only $________ (whatever price you choose to use, but it can be less than the price on the price sheet) and that price includes shipping of your core to us and us shipping your transmission back to you. Our prices are based on you having a good core, and hopefully you do.

First of all, you will get a 3yr 75,000 mile prorated warranty.

Youve probably noticed that our prices are generally less than the competition, and thats because we have eliminated a very important step in the process.

A major problem in the transmission industry is youll order a transmission & about 70% of the time youll get a transmission thats not exactly the same as your original one. It will look like yours & it will bolt up just like your old one. The problem will be in the electronics inside the transmission, the gear ratios, or the connectors will be possibly be different.

Now youll have to pay to have that transmission removed & a new one re-installed.

We have completely 100% eliminated that problem and eliminated the need for a core deposit.

We remanufacture your transmission thats already in the vehicle. You pay no shipping.

Compensation & How Things Work


You are paid 8% of your gross sales each week. Average is $1100 to $1600 per week.

You will need 2 land telephone lines with call waiting on the second line. You cannot use a cell phone to take calls.

Once you have the lines in place you must first submit a work schedule telling us the days and hours you want to work based on central time zone. The available time to choose from is 6 a.m. your time zone until 9 p.m. your time zone, Monday through Sunday.

Our offices are open 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday Central Time.

You will then be ready to start receiving calls within approximately 20 minutes after we assign you an 800 number. This 800 number wont be shared with any other rep.

You will get your customers credit card information & other information per the presentation.

You will then fax a credit card authorization form to each customer immediately after you make each sale. This form is supplied by the company and cannot be altered in any way. The customer must sign this form & fax or email it back to the company & not back to you. Faxing back to you and you faxing it to us can cause it to become illegible by the time we receive it, especially the pictures of the drivers license & credit card.

You will fax over this information on each customer as you make sales.

You will receive daily reports showing which customers have faxed back their credit card authorization. This form covers all the important points of the sale that you should have covered with the customer.

We do not debit any card or pickup any transmission until your customer completes the credit card authorization form and faxes or emails it back. The email address for returning the form is transmission_1@yahoo.com. The fax number is 940-323-9423.

We have the ability to give you a list of all the calls you have received for anydate range. This can be done within a matter of minutes. It can be sorted by phone number so you can see the number of unique calls you have received. It will also give you the amount of time you spent on each call as well as how much we have spent on your 800 number for that period of time.

You will have the ability to log on and log off from our service if you need to take a break. It is very expensive for the advertising to make you phone ring. Therefore the one thing that is totally unacceptable is not logging off when you take a break. Logging off stops your phone from ringing. To pause your calls from coming to your phone you must logon to transmission-1.com/agentlogin.asp, then use your login name and password to logon. Next you must choose Temporarily on break to stop calls from coming to your phone temporarily. To start receiving calls again you must logon & choose Receiving Phone-calls from the drop down menu.

Every lead should be written on an Index Card or recorded in an Excel Spreadsheet because the absolute Key To Success is callbacks. Grade them on a scale of 1 to 5 in terms of hot lead. Always put a callback date & possibly a time if necessary, for instance, if they have a certain work schedule. IF YOU DONT ABSOLUTELY ENJOY AND UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF DOING CALLBACKS, YOU SHOULD NOT GET INVOLVED IN THIS OPPORTUNITY.

It's plain to see what a money racket this is and scam. It really gives a bad name and taste to the honest transmission and auto repair industry out there.
