Having your windshield changed because it has a few scratches or pits is not covered by your insurance company, unless its viewed by an adjuster and determined that it will affect your ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner. This is considered normal wear and tear. If you are not being truthful with the claims department, this is insurance fraud. As for Coast to Coast Glass I was told by one of their sales people that they would tell the insured (Customer) to bend the truth a little in order to get the claim processed. If thats what true, Their ripping off the insurance companies.

In New York Coast To Coast has set up their office with a marketing company called NY Promotional Events (((Redacted))) They share the same suite. Which leads me to believe that their one in the same since C2C Glass is owned by a marketing company. They look for young ambitious young dreamers and pitch a bunch of bullshit like a high pressure salesmen at a vacation resort trying to sell you a time share.(We all know what that like) Unfortunally their job consists of freezing their a*s's off in the dead of winter to make a lack luster living!! Coast to Coast will take advantage of these young people and promise great opportunities that will may never materialize. Long story short don't deal with the company. They only care about the money.. Their installers will  put windshields in vehicles on 20 degree days with a total disregard for your families safety.

The guys and girls that work for them for the most part are really nice people, but their under the direction of scam artists (Their Team Leaders). The company has to many issues and most of those issues are questionable. Look for a well Established Glass Installer in your area or go to a web site called (((Redacted))). they have certified shops that can work on your car indoors,This way you know that your windshield installation will come out right and SAFE!!  I hope this reply helps someone make the right choose.

As the spouse of an Autoglass installer I would like to comment about the recent report listed. As with any business, you will always have disgruntled customers. No matter the industry or business, it is impossible to make every customer 100% satisfied. I personally have had my windshield replaced when it is not broken for several reasons.

First, it is dangerous to even allow the glass to become completely broken and therefore should be changed when slight damage is noticed. Secondly, I prefer to see through my windshield clearly without having many "pitts" in my line of view. These pitts are small indents in the glass made from hard objects, such as rocks, hit the glass while traveling. Finally, just because someone trys to get your windshield replaced at a service station, your home or via the phone does not mean it is a scam. Many companies use direct selling to gain exposure and clients.

Always remember to get the full picture and information about a company and take criticism with a grain of sand. People are 10 times more likely to complain verbally about a "bad" experience than a good one!
