  • While the product is decent how they treat their employees is a joke! i worked for them for about 2 weeks at least 8 of those days were 12+ hour days and 0 days off. They paid me 100 bucks the first week and 70 for the second week and then garnished my entire second week paycheck cause a customer tripped over their ABS protective shield and broke the cheap little clasps. even though they stated they had every intention to sue the customer for the damages and still intended me to sell the broken product to other unsuspecting customers so that customer could claim it on the warranty to have it fixed.

All of my customers enjoyed my company, several of which i still talk to, and found my presentations informative but at the end of the presentation i would have to call and the manager would then proceed to bully my customers. I had one guy come in while my manager was bullying his parents (they like to target the older couples, they claim its cause they are more open to in home presentations, i have my doubts on those motives) and he kinda got a little hostile with me, until his parents let him know i was a good guy and that it was my manager not me that was the issue.

Also for shifty sales techniques while doing the demonstration we put the defender in a closed off room then leave the main filter off the majestic so that instead of filtering air during the presentation we are simply throwing filth back into your air lowering your air quality in the main room so that when you go back into the enclosed room it seems WAY better than your main room.

When they hired me they told me $2800 month minimal as long as i do the shows they gave me, and that i would never have to go door to door. But then instead of having us go door to door doing shows they sent us door to door with misleading questionnaire to get you to sign away your right to not have them solicit to you over the phone. at which point they would call you and lie to you about the length of a presentation (i heard they tell people its 30-45 min presentation but all mine were on average 3 hours.) offer you a free gift and tell you that there is no obligation to buy and that they just wanted your feedback on the product. only to have me show up do a way longer presentation than they were told and then bullied at the end to buy the product.

on top of that they never scheduled nearly enough presentations for me to make the minimal requirement to make the salary they promised me.

Really i feel like they target people hard on their luck and promise them the a step up in the world just to generate sales leads, cause first thing they did was have me do presentations for all my friends and family, all of which they bullied just like all my other customers.

Also the paperwork they have you sign upon hiring (that they read to you while having you sign and date each page as a distraction instead of providing you time to read it yourself) waves your rights to any help from L&I or unemployment. not that i intended to file for unemployment but you bet your a*s i tried to go to L&I after only making like 10% of minimum wage.

I don't know how a company in America is allowed to get away with treating their employees like this! this company preys on the low income promising a livable wage that they do everything in their power to get around, and then target elderly people that they think they can easily bully into a sale.

when i was going through training they claimed to only have 30 complaints in 85 years when in actuality it is because all the complaints were filed against subsidiaries of healthmor and rarely get linked back to the parent company. Don't buy into all their hype.

on top of all this they set up rewards programs that they also never followed through with. Like they claimed to give out $10 gas cards to people who scheduled apointments for themselves durring their training. i qualified to get one of these but then they refuseed to give it to me cause one of my friends couldnt get her husband to sit in on the presentation as well and THEY had me cancel the presentation.

There was also supposed to be a drawing for a $100 gift card to a restaruant in the area for people who also scheduled interviews that week, as far as i know this drawing never took place.

These are incetives they put on new hires to get them to schedule as many interviews with people they know as possible and then refused to pay out for. This also adds to my theory that they used us more as leads than actual perspective employees.

Filter Queen should have learned their lesson doing business in Washington state after the Country Aire fiasco ten years ago.  I'm sure they will be gone in the next six months.  In the meantime, encourage those that you know that aren't happy with the company to report the business on here.  It wouldn't be a bad idea to talk to your state rep in Olympia about enacting some new laws that keep businesses from operating in this fashion in Washington State because they are not paying their fair share of revenue to the state in the first place when operating a legitimate business in the state of Washington.
